Emerald and Crimson (Chapter One)

Chapter One1

'Dear Ron,3

I'm so tired.  I really just don't want to do it anymore... and NO I'm not committing suicide or anything like that, so please don't even think it!4

Ever since Bryan broke up with me, I've been thinking that if I want people to like me, for me, I need to be someone else.  I know it sounds crazy, but it really is just crazy enough that it might work!  He told me... that my title and my money was no longer enough to satisfy him.  I don't want it to happen again... I couldn't handle it if it did.5

I'll be back, I swear, so don't worry too much.  Even if you don't recognize me when I return.  I will.  Give Hermione a hug for me, and tell Padfoot and Moony that I love them, and I'll miss you all. 6

"Oh, Harry, what are you doing?"  Ron murmured, clutching the good by letter.9

Harry stared at the sales lady, with a frown upon his face, afraid to speak.  He took a deep breath, coughed, and murmured, "Excuse me."11

"Yes, can I help you, dear?"  The lady asked, with a faint British accent.  She was about five foot four inches tall, with red hair and black eyes.12

"Umm... yes, please."13

"Alright, sweety, I'm Shelly.  What can I do for you?"  She asked, patting his tense shoulder comfortingly. 14

"I n-need to change my appearance.  So that no one will recognize me..."15

"Hmm... Sounds to me like a job for Alexis."  Shelly said, smiling.  "'LEXIS!!!"16

A few moments later, an Asian girl about five foot seven inches tall, floated into the room.  Her midnight colored hair was piled on top of her Head, and her smoky grey eyes took in Harry's slender petite form.  "Oh, Shelly, he's PERFECT!  Where ever did you find him?!"17

The red haired girl smiled, "He found us, darling."  Shelly placed a hand on Harry's trembling shoulders.  "Honey, go with Alexis,  she'll take good care of you."18

Harry gulped, and Alexis noticed, she smiled, murmuring, "Don't worry, I don't bite... much."19

Harry followed the girl into the back room, where she turned and circled him a few times, looking at him from all angles.  Suddenly, she stopped, and bit her bottom lip, tapping her fingers on her thighs, deep in thought.20

Harry watched for a moment before whispering, "W-what's wrong?"21

Alexis looked him in the eye, "Shelly said you found us.  I'm not sure you know what your getting into.  What did you tell Shelly?"22

"I-I told her that I needed to change my appearance.  So that no one would recognize me.  Except... I still want to be me..."  Harry said, trailing off.23

Alexis smiles softly, "I think I understand, dear.  I think I have just the thing for you, but you have to trust me, okay?"24

Harry nodded, "Okay, I trust you."25

She smiled, and said, "Stay here, then, I'll be right back."26

Harry hadn't moved from his spot, when Alexis walked back into the room with a huge back slung over her slender shoulders.  Shelly waltzed in behind her, carrying a couple of smaller bags.  They both set their bags down, before turning to face Harry, who had the 'deer caught in the head lights' look on his face.27

Alexis smiled, serenely, "Just trust us, Harry, it'll be fine."28

Shelly grinned, "Yeah, just go with it.  If you don't like the finished result, we'll come up with something else."29

Alexis nodded, "Give it a chance, I think it'll work for you."30

Harry bit his bottom lip, hard.  "Okay, I'll try.  What is it?"31

Shelly turned and swiftly pulled a crimson sun dress out of one of her bags.32

Harry blinked, and blinked again, "Excuse me?"33

Alexis moved forward, "Harry, when you look at me, what do you think?"34

"That you're pretty."35

"I'm a guy."36

"Then... why?"37

"Because the clothes are comfortable, and I look better this way?"38

"Oh, will I look as pretty as you?"39

"Probably prettier," Shelly cut in, earning a smack on the head, which caused Harry to laugh.  "What?? Lexis, you have to admit he's hot!"40

Alexis sighed, "See what I have to put up with."41

"Okay, I'll wear the dress.  Ummm... anything special I need to put under it?"  Harry murmured, softly.42

"Yes, of course," Alexis turned around and pulled a set of detachable breasts, and a special pair of lacy black guy panties.  She held them out to Harry.43

Harry took them and turned six different shades of red.  "Okay..." He ran to the dressing room to change.44

A few minutes later,Harry stepped out of the room, shoeless, the dress clinging to his slender body in an appealing way.  His hair was still pulled back into it's severe ponytail, and he was still blushing.45

Alexis grinned, "Oh, very nice."46

Shelly nodded,  "Very nice, indeed.  Just a few minor touches to this outfit and you can look."47

Alexis pulled out his ponytail, making his raven hair fall around his face and shoulders, while Shelly pulled out her make-up bag.  Shelly put black eye liner, a pink blush, and crimson red lipstick on Harry's pale face.48

Alexis ran a brush through Harry's unruly raven hair, while Shelly placed a silver choker around his slender neck.49

Shelly and Alexis pulled back and grinned.50

"One more thing," Shelly murmured.51

"Here."  Alexis grinned, holding a pair of strappy silver pumps out to Harry.52

Harry bent over, and slipped the silver pumps onto his feet.  Then, he looked up at Alexis and Shelly, nervously biting his lip.  "Well?"53

"Gorgeous!"  Alexis smiled, happily.54

"I was right! You are prettier than Alexis!"  Shelly exclaimed, earning another bonk on the head.  "Ow!  You know I'm right, 'Lexis!"55

"Whatever."56

"Can I see?"  Harry whispered, blushing."57

"Of course, darling."  Alexis murmured, pulling Harry over to a full length mirror.  "What do you think?"58

Harry looked into the mirror and gasped, "Omigod..." he turned slowly, staring at himself.  "I'm pretty."59

Shelly walked on the other side of Harry.  "Very beautiful in fact."60

"God... and this is legal?"  Harry whispered.61

"Perfectly," Alexis laughed.62

Shelly slipped away for a moment, and returned with a shimmery black formal gown.  "Want to try another dress on, just to be sure?"63

"Okay,"  Harry murmured, staring at the beautiful dress.64

"Here," Shelly grinned, holding it out.65

Harry grabbed it and ran to change into it.  Then, he waltzed out, "What do you think?"66

The dress clung to his curves, showing them off beautifully.  A slit on the right side, stopped mid-thigh, showing off a lot of his smooth leg.67

"It's gorgeous, darling.'  Alexis smiled.68

"Let's face it, sweety, that dress is you!"  Shelly clapped.69

Harry blushed, and whispered, "I think I might like dressing like this."70

Alexis and Shelly cheered, "Would you want us to put together a wardrobe for you?"71

"Make-up, shoes, and everything?" Harry asked.72

Shelly nodded, and hugged Harry, "Welcome to the family!"73

Harry looked a little confused, so Alexis murmured, "Shelly is a doll, she loves adopting all of the boys who come in looking to hide from the world.  You are her twenty-second boy, I think."74

"Wow, big family."75

"Yeah, but she loves it!  So if you ever need anything, come here.  We are always prepared to help family." Alexis smiled, pulling Harry into a brief hug.76

"Thanks," Harry blushed.77

"No problem, now let's go find out your best colors!"  Alexis said, pulling harry towards the other a part of the shop.78
