Love comes from the Inside

SATURDAY-December 29th 1

Tap. Tap. Tap.2

The sound of a pencil tapping the desk echoed around Charles. He sighed and wearily ran a dirty hand through his even more dirty hair. How could he tell her? Where was the easy way out of his predicament? 3

The young artist sat at his desk, papers strewn around him, pencils and drawing utensils thrown about with an ease that only a devoted, ambitious person could inhabit such an area.4

Charles was sitting, his feet propped up on the left side of the desk, his white oxford unbuttoned enough to see his pale and scrawny body, and all he could think about was her.5

Jenna.6

The beautiful, brunette, blue eyed songbird that had come into his life and tried to give him happiness. To anyone else, they would be labeled as "geek and the girl," to her, they were the "perfect" couple... but to him. He was living a lie. 7

Charles didn't know why he had let himself get involved with the voluptuous woman. Her long curvaceous legs had mesmerized him, the lush pout of her soft lips and swell of her enlarged breasts could make him have the most satisfying thoughts.8

And yet, he wasn't satisfied. In fact, his desires had been fulfilled before he met Jenna. 9

Jenna.10

What would she do when he told her his true feelings about ... them?11

"She will be upset..." He rubbed his chin and cringed at the stubbles of hair. He had forgotten to shave again. "Yes... she'll be very upset."12

"We must tell her..." The voice echoed through his troubled mind. Nodding to himself, Charles stood up and straightened his shirt. He would tell her tonite. Tonite, a bad story would end and the happy ending would begin. 13

MONDAY-January 1st14

"Yeah, the body was found last night, one minute before midnight, to be exact." 15

Lieutenant Jeffery Morgue listened a few minutes more to the person on the other end of his phone then replied, "We're going through his belongings now. The family gave approval. Yes, sir, we'll be done shortly." 16

With a snap, Jeffery closed his phone and gave a whistle.17

"When you say quickly... you mean in like, weeks, right?" 18

Jeffery turned to confront the smart mouthed officer and gave a weak smile. 19

"Well, at least we know why she killed him." He gestured towards the two shrines and hundreds of drawings, photos, snapshots, and sketches of a small man. 20

Sometimes nude, mainly clothed, Charles had collected pictures of himself since the age of ten ... 21

Sighing again, Jeffery ordered his team to collect all the evidence and contain it safely. They slowly began to take down the shrines and self portraits. To the officers, Charles was a nutcase, but to himself, he was a lover.22

LOL. That's alright, hun. It is a bit sad if you think about it... you can really pull some thoughts from it because it's so "small," to say. Thanks for the comments!

This is really quite sad. I'm not sure if I fully understand the ending because I'm horribly slow, but I think I do. Good luck in the contest.
