I was sitting in my room reading when I heard the rumbling of thunder, smiling I walked out side letting the wind whip my hair in my eyes and across my face, in the fading grayish haze of the last rays of sunlight struggling through storm clouds I could see fat rain drops splashing on the cement and in the pool. Closing my eyes I slowed my breathing and calmed myself, breathing in the earthy scent of the earth being watered, I thought of God. I told him how beautiful he was making the earth, he was breathing life into the world, or at least my little part of the world. I praised him, our city hadn't had a good storm since the begining of summer, the grass was parched, the flowers withered, and the soil needed for fall crops was dry and cracked. Tomorrow I thought, our city would wake up to a land infused with new life.1

Elegant
This is lovely and in tune with yourself, nature, God, and the world.. Very all encompassing – all embracing. Water is life and this write really gives to that in such a smooth and elegant form.. -
This is a very nice piece, I'd just make the sentences shorter, especially the first one, but its more of a personal preference I think. Good write nontheless
