What is the meaning of love?12

is it just a mere thing like lust?13

Or some magical thing from above?14

Maybe it's an emotion we base upon trust.15

This is something we all wonder about,16

It keeps us up at night.17

This is a thing many of us doubt,18

And some may be wrong and others right.

We may have many definitions,20

But this search for love is turning into an obsession,21

And how to find love has become our main mission,22

So despite our different thoughts,23

Everyone knows that true love cannot be taught.

Shall I compare love to a rose?24

It's velvety complexion is breathtaking,25

As it's intoxicating scent burns my lungs,26

It gracefully stands in the soil,27

While awaiting vain admirations,28

Beautifully aesthetic,29

Genuinely rare,30

Though not perfect.31

If I were to compare love to a rose,32

Then this love has already ended,33

Petals will gradually wither,34

It's scent will say it's farewell while,35

Leaving only dead thorns,36

And a broken heart.

No mother to annoy you and set a curfew,38

No brother or sister to shove,39

No partner to worry about, you can date two,40

No friends to be jealous of,41

No nanny to tuck shirts in,42

I dream of a life without love,43

There'll be no one to accuse you of sin.

There will be no mother to cook your favourite meals,45

No brother or sister to advise, even if they cause you strife,46

No partner to love you back, and understand the way you feel,47

So many more things i would miss in a life like this,48

A life without love does not exist.

Comfortable, Warm and pleasant,50

The birds singing as if all sadness away,51

As if nothing in the world is unpleasant,52

The sun shining brightly in the light blue sky.53

Spreading it's light and heat,54

Burning bright white like the heavens eye,55

Asking the dark and cold to retreat.
