The Heart of a Demon

The gates of Konoha were opened and soon both of Sora’s feet were on it’s soil. Along side buildings were trees and greenery mixed with the assortment of wild flowers. Two words could describe the view: breath taking. 2

Sora glanced behind her at her three escorts; two regular Anbu and their leader that was presently out of uniform. The two Anbu both wore black cloaks and masks to hide their identity. The head Anbu wore black leggings and a shirt with a plain black coat and a Haiti-ate on his head. His name was Ibiki.3

“C’mon, move!” ordered a harsh voice from the Anbu on the right and pushed Sora forward. With both her hands binded behind her to prevent escape, Sora swung her leg up and at the Anbu on her right in the chest and took off running.4

“After her, don’t let her escape!” ordered Ibiki and he and the other two Anbu followed after her. Rushing through the street caused quite an uproar and people started panicing.5

“Man, that mission was lame.” complained Naruto; a young blond, spikey haired boy in an orange jumpsuit with blue eyes. “That’s it, I vote no more missions involving cats.” Sakura; a young girl in a red dress and blue shorts with pink hair, rolled her green eyes at Naruto. Sasuke; a young boy with onyx black hair and eyes that was wearing a blue shirt and white shorts, paid no attention to neither one of his teammates. Kakashi, their squad leader, was wearing the traditional Jonin outfit and grey- silver hair and his Haiti-ate over his left eye. 6

He looked up at the sky; a black bird was flying above in a constant circle.. a signal bird. The panicking scream and yells got his attention; Kakashi turned to his right to see a young girl with bleached white blond hair and purple eyes that was wearing a black kimono: her hands were binded.7

“Hm?” Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke- including many others turned their attention in that direction.8

“What’s going on?” asked Sakura: Sora focused her chakra and glowed a light.. Purple?9

'Damnit, how the hell am I going to loose them?!' she shouted in her head while running. 10

“Hyperstride!” she called out and her speed increased as she quickly jumped off one building to the next. The Anbu came running around the corner. 11

“Anbu?” Sakura blinked.12

“Don’t let her get any farther!” yelled one of the Anbu.13

“Come back here you little wench!” yelled the other not too far behind.14

“Stay here..” said Kakashi and entered the chase.15

“Wait, Kakashi sensei!” called Sakura too late.16

“We’ve got to help.” said Naruto, his other two comrades nodded in agreement and went after him. “There he is, he’s over there!” Naruto pointed out.17

“Phoenix burst!” Sora called out as she jumped up away from her chasers and let out a large gold and orange burst of streaming fire that purposely went past them. Sora had managed to break free of her binding as she landed onto the roof of a building. She glanced around and took a in a breath to rest. Before this she was in a fight and use a lot of chakra not to mention she was injured. She blinked activating her ’Isei Hadou’, sensing someone behind her she turned just in time to reflect an attack. It was the grey* silver haired jonin, Kakashi Hatake. 18

“Now where’d he go?” asked Sakura. 19

“Over there!” pointed out Naruto, they looked up on the roof of a tall building to see their sensei facing off against the strange ninja the Anbu were chasing. “Who is he fighting?”20

“Dragon Fist!” called Sora and her chakra charged in her fist and purple-red fire surrounded it. Kakashi barly ducked, noticing again she missed purposely, at that moment he chose to attack and kicked her feet making her loose her balance and fall off the roof.21

From the ground Sora glanced around, breathing heavily. She was wearing down quickly and she didn’t want to have to hurt anyone. All around her were reinforcements of Anbu and Jonin.22

“Give up..you have no chance against this many of us.” stated Ibiki and to his surprise and others Sora slowly rose to her feet not taking her eyes off him. She coughed and blood splurted out, she raised her arm and wiped it away cringing in pain. Her arm she has used her Dragon Fist justu on was burned by her charka’s intensity, the same with her feet from Hyperstride. 23

From a soft thudding beat her heart quickened into a thunder. Sora again couched and blood splurted as her chakra extracted uncontrollably in bolts of white electricity like lighting. Holding her head in pain Sora tried to resist the urge to scream.24

“G-Get..back...” warned Sora, nobody moved they just looked at her strangely confused. “G-Get back!” she shouted as her chakra intensified. Everyone stepped back just in time as Sora released her chakra energy. A white bolt shot up from Sora to the sky and for a few moments everything was white. When the light faded everyone could see again.25

“Whoa, what was that?” whispered Naruto as he looked out into the center of the village where everything was taking place.26

“What was that?” asked Sakura in a hushed tone.27

Sora’s vision blurred as she felt her body immediately weaken and a wave of dizziness wash over her after releasing her chakra energy. Slumping to her knees she slowly heard the noises around her shut off and finally her vision blacken.28

'Sora…' whispered a voice before she went unconscious. Her limp body started to fall to the ground only to be caught by one of the Anbu.29
