There she stood.1
Looking down at the grave.2
Where her dear mother now lies.3
As he approaches her quietly.4
"Miss Josephine Diego?"5
She jumps.6
"Yes?" she replied.7
"Hello, My name is Cleo. I was a friend of your mother's."8
"Oh," she managed to exhale out. 9
Then she turned away from him.10
"How did you know her?"11
"Well," he said," That is the reason I am here. There are many things you did not know about your mother, and I've come to make it clear."12
"What? What are you talking about?" she said with a look of distress.13
"I'll explain it all later. When can we meet?" he asked.14
"Oh, um, in the park? At 4? You know where it is, right?"15
He nodded, "Yes, I do. Alright we will meet there tomorrow at 4."16
He walked away solemnly from her, the grey wind wisting at him as he walked.17
Josephine looked back down towards the grave, then she knelt down and traced the letters of her mother's name carved into the cold stone.18
She thought back to memories of her mother, so beautiful, and lively.19
Josephine sighed and began walking towards the car.20
As she walked she felt a chill run down her spine. She looked around but saw no one. Then she could have sworn she heard her name called, but she shook it off and got inside her car.21
"Josephine," she said to herself, "Don't lose it over this."22
more to come?
