Prologue1

Dominic James Slaten is a gift from above; he's a guardian angel. He goes around and saves peoples' lives everyday; people joke around about him being an angel, but no one truly knows or believes it. 2

After spending eighteen years on the earth in human form, hiding his secret from everyone, Dominic is tired. He is tired of saving countless numbers of lives and never being thanked. He doesn't want to be who he is anymore, so he changes into a teenager who doesn't care about anything or anyone. He feels free but he doesn't know it's the worst decision he's ever made.3

Dominic slips into his black jeans and a red T-shirt. He goes into the small bathroom of his run down apartment. In the cracked mirror he sees what represents his freedom: black jeans, bright red T-shirt, and jet black hair. He puts some gel in his hair and spikes it in many different directions. " I look like a real punk now.", he says outloud to no one but himself.6
