The days have turned into months, and months into years.
My last memories of you still to this day, put me to tears.
Once upon a time you were my beautiful bright blue sky.
But things have forever changed between you and I1
I could look back and cry about how you had me removed.
But the tears I make are tears of joy and so I've approved...2
It's alright to never let go,
of the good times we had come to know.
That what we had was real,
and thanks to you there was love to feel.3
The nights have turned into these, and these into those.
Know when it comes to you, my thoughts never close.
So you've moved on and I continue my reflections.
You always said I thrived on my imperfections4
You may wish that I have my thoughts of you removed.
But the thoughts bring me a smile and so I've approved...5

You had hoped I would finally let it all go but not so fast.
Let it be known I am aware that our end was due to me.

I like the message of this poem. Of course, you have to move on with life, but it is ok to hold on to your memories. I also think you should hold on to learn, so you do not make the same mistakes in the future. I think you presented this in a very beautiful way.

tears stung at my eyes as i read this. your passion and feeling that went into this was beautiful. there was an obvious somber feel to the poem but it was touching because I could relate to it. thats what i look for when i read poetry, something to connect and relate to. if i cant do that then its not worth reading. and yours was definently worth it. good job on touching the reader. keep up the good work!
