A young farmer girl,Who drank from the Nile
from a small village
she came ,1


her voice :chains of gold ,with diamonds and rubies ,
a breath from heaven ;
mixture of Jasmin. Lillie's ,cinnamon,with pepper and honey cream and chocolates,2

she studied Koran ,
very very young
a brilliant student she was;4

singing with her brother and father
to become very famous ,in all nearby villages
she dressed as a boy , covered her hair
traditions of her village , not to be harassed by men 5

when she was 13 a famous singer taught her how to sing
she came to Cairo , to became well known
many times .. she sang beautiful Love Songs ..
every First Thursday of every month 6

everyone left everything
to listen to that wonderful lady singing 7

she traveled , all over the world
her voice was
A message of Love
how much I love her songs
a wonderful voice
everyone .. adored

    I think that this was beautifully written. I like the rough feel to it. That love isn't always a pretty thing, but even the coursest of roads can lead you to it. That's what I got from your tone and your poem. I enjoyed this very much. I think not rhyming was a superb choice. Great Job.
