I stared at Sasuke and Kakashi. Sasuke noticed me and smirked in my direction. I put my thumb up and nodded my head. "Arrggghhh!" I spun on my heel and heard a few screams. Naruto and Shikamaru said a few things before silence filled the room. I wanted to see what was going on upstairs, but there were already foot steps trailing towards me. I stayed against the wall, feeling my heart pound against my chest. "Asura? I thought you were going to announce," Gaara mussed. I ran up to him and clung to his shirt. "Gaara! Did you kill someone?"1
"They told me something I will discuss with you later," He sighed. I got on my tip toes and kissed him gently. He ran his tongue along my bottom lip and nipped at it. I opened my mouth and allowed him to search around my mouth. He groaned slightly and slipped his hands around my waist. I pulled back and smiled. "Go and win, for me?" I questioned. He held my chin with his fingers and smiled. "This is for you," He whispered. I felt him give me another kiss, then leave. 2
"Gaara just got out? What had he been doing!" Temari complained. When I came up to them, she smiled. "Ooohhh, well, that's an excuse," She teased. I glared slightly at her. "Oh go jump of a tower."
"Girlfriends first . . ."
"Why I outta!" I nearly tackled Temari. Only Kankuro held me back tightly. "Gaara's battling, cheer for him silly," He told me. I smiled. "Kay! Goooo Gaara! G-A-A-R-A, Gaara! Woop! Woop! Whip his duckbutt, Gaara!" I chanted. Temari and Kankuro covered my mouth. Sasuke and Gaara were looking at me funny. I began laughing like a mad man. "Calm down, Asura!"
"I-I-I-I can't!"
"Gaara's dead!" Kankuro shouted. I stopped and began crying. Gaara was now glaring harshly at Kankuro. "I'm about to be dead . . . Arn't I?"
"Yep. You never make her upset, Kankuro, you shoulda' learned that by now," Temari tsked. Kankuro hid behind me and trembled with fear. "G-G-Gaara! He's dead!" I wailed. Temari hugged me tightly. "No he's not. Kankuro said that to get you quiet."
"Kankuro! I'm gunna kill you!" I shrieked, chasing Kankuro around the benches and down the stairs, even back up. "Wow, your too perfect for Gaara," Temari complemented as I ran by. "Gee, thanks!" I stopped and scratched the back of my head, a blush across my cheeks. Kankuro paused for a rest. I blinked and remembered I was going to kill Kankuro. He began running like bats from hell as I chased him again. 3
"Asura! Look!" Temari gasped. I nodded and stared at Gaara's covering sand ball. Kankuro sat away from us, bandages all over him. "Kankuro! He's going to change!" Temari panicked. Kankuro came next to her and took off the bandages. I gripped the railing tightly. "What's going on!" I demanded. Temari and Kankuro looked at me. "His demon! It's trying to take over him!"
"No . . . Sasuke! Get outta there!" I screamed. He didn't listen. I seen his Chidori enter Gaara's barrier. The next thing I know, Gaara was screaming. "My blood!" He cried. I felt tears sting my eyes. "Gaara's hurt!" Temari resulted. I began crying again. "G-Gaaraaaa!" I wailed. Sasuke was trying to get out his hand. 4
Suddenly, Gaara's barrier blew sand everywhere. Sasuke flew back and hit the wall. I waited until everything was clear. Something smashed the walls in the distance. People began shuffling out of the arena, screaming in terror. Kakashi and Gai were fighting some hidden ninjas. "I told you I couldn't say our plan!" Temari apologized. I shook my head and ran down the stairs and to Gaara. "Gaara! Are you alright?"
"A-Asura . . . ?"
"Sssh, everything will be OK. . . ," I cooed. He flentched and yelled in pain. Temari and Kankuro appeared next to Gaara and picked him up. "Let me come!" I protested. Kankuro sighed. "Fine, just stay behind us."
"Stay quiet and alert, too," Temari informed. I nodded and transfered away with them.5
