The Fandalzo Men (chapter 6)

But Luigi wasn't going to be defeated this easily, he had a plan up his sleeve, and he wasn't afraid to use it.1

He knew once thing about Italian jail cell windows, their bars always had one fake bar, for emergencies. His cell mate was very dumb, so he wouldn't tell the officers what had happened, he believed everything you'd say. 2

"Now, don't tell ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, you hear?" Luigi asked.3

"Oh yes, sure do", the cell mate replied, "I won't tell a soul".4

Luigi had a pen-knife in his pocket that he had managed to sneak in, and started to saw the window bars. After 3 hours of trying, he had managed to loosen it and pulled it out. He climbed up onto his bed, and jumped out.5

But underneath his cell, was an exit with a guard standing right outside it, and spotted Luigi and chased him. Luigi ran really fast down the path, but when he came to the end of the prison, there was nothing to be seen but a huge concrete wall about 20 feet high. There was no way Luigi could climb over it, but they had done this sort of thing before, and he ran really fast again, and back-flipped onto the top of the wall and jumped down the other side, although it was 20 feet high.6

He landed safely but with a thud on the hard mud below. It was also visiting day today and there were a few cars, so he decided to break into one and steal it, it was all he had. Luigi drove for about 12 miles before he heard police sirens, and started pushing the accelerator down harder, straight to the floor and went from 40 miles an hour to 115 miles an hour. He went everywhere, through fields, car parks, barns, you name it, they probably went through it. 7

The police cars were still in chase, they weren't giving up, he was a major criminal. 8

"Mamma Mia", he cried out, "when are they going to stop?"9

But as soon as Luigi drove into the forest, they stopped chasing him, but the policemen knew a little more about the forest than Luigi did, they don't call it 'Cliff Face Forest' for nothing.10

"SUCKERS!" Luigi yelled back.11

He carried on driving and then said,12

"Ooh, it feels like I'm floating in mid-air", he was right, and then he dropped all the way down to the bottom into a little river, not even wider than the car.13

"Not again! Ugh!" he said cheesed off.14

Luigi carried on driving, with the four wheels either side of the river on the banks,15

"This seems alright", he said.16

Then the river got wider and there was steam coming from the top,17

"Oh no!" he cried.18

He tried to get out, but the door was jammed, he was heading right for 'Devil's Waterfall', a 750 foot high waterfall, and 90 degrees steep, he was really in for it now!19

The Fiat went straight over the edge, and fell and fell and fell, until it landed in 'Crocodile River', where ferocious crocodiles ripped off parts of the car, the mirrors, the lights, the wind screen wipers, and finally, the doors,20

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"21
