Being a Crystal Guardian

"When is he gonna give up?" I groaned. He looked up at me, his fiery eyes sparkling. He tilted his head and nuzzled my leg. I chuckled. "You're enjoying being pursued by a hunter" he nodded. 'Course I am. Besides we're gonna kick his butt anyway' his voice spoke in my head. I crouched down, patting his head. He purred as his elegant tail curled up next to him. Surprised at how I said he's got a tail? He does but he's not human, he's a dragon. A beautiful one. He has a beautiful sheen of greenish-blue scales with golden streaks, powerful yet sleek body. He's my dragon and my best friend, I named him Blaze since it meant flame/fire because of the fire flaring in his mysterious grayish blue eyes. 'I hear movement... roll to left!' he warned. I rolled to the left just when the arrow struck the tree behind me.2

'Sir. You're gonna have to stop hunting my dragon' i ordered sternly. He snorted. 'Who are you to tell me?' but before I could answer I had to duck before another arrow hit me. Jeez, couldn't they just wait till I explained? Blaze materialized infront of me and let out a ball of energy, attacking the hunter.  Luckily he was a human who didn't have the knowledge like I did. As I opened my hand, a gust of mist rippled out of hand. I sat on the back of Blaze as we took off into the sky.4

You probably don't know anything about what it was, do you? My name's Breeze Summer, I'm 14. I have grayish blue eyes and blondish brown hair which make people say that I have my mom's face and my father's eyes. I'm a Crystal Guardian. Do you believe in dragons, vampires, harpies etc? If you don't, you're wrong. They still exist in our world. The reason why scientists and humans can't even find them is because they can sense humans and turn invisible or disappear since they don't find humans important. That's where we come in, Crystal Guardians. Our jobs are to protect humans from threats them, conceal the truth from the humans. I'm not just any Crystal Guardian, I have a gift which is my elements, wind and ice. It means i can control wind and ice which also means the weather and water. Pretty cool huh? Also as a Guardian we get to own a creature to help you with your job such as hippogriffs, hellhounds, dragons etc.8

My dragon Blaze can literally control magic, fire and light. He's my best friend than a pet really. When we first met he said that humans and creatures couldn't work together because of the war between our kinds that was a billion years ago but ever since our 3rd mission we became friends since. 12

'Breeze? We've arrived' I nodded as I slid down Blaze's back. "Why aren't you shrinking back?" i asked. 16

'Well. I sensed a lost dragon' he answered.18

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"20

'It slipped out of my mind' I groaned. 'Fine. Let's go find the dragon' I jumped onto his back as we took of for air. 22
