Open Doors ~Poem~

Isolate it
Shun that creature
Leave it behind
Exile it1

The dawn is cold
As it always has been
These words always known
Have to the heart come to hold2

No shadows on this path
Though the trees are tall and bold
They restrain none of the rain
The water anything but a healing bath3

There they walk by
The people who make others shadows
Memories of a time with the same
Ideas that make the clouds cry4

They always only weep for
Bawl for the exiled and left
The isolated and the shunned
When the search is for an open door5

So open a door and let one in
Dry off the muck and the rain
Teach words of kindness
Not those made of tin6

A light glows behind once dim eyes
Cast offs become again cherished
In this there is always hope
Pushed to the side by petty lies7

Brought again into the light
The runt will thrive
It only needed a chance
The sun sets to a clear night8

The dawn will come again
This time not so cold
Future no longer a dim word
The late flower’s bloom begins9

Author notes

I wrote this poem today and totally forgot about it until I opened my notebook again. I honestly have no idea what to think of it, can I have another opinion. or a lot more? That would be awesome!
