Distant screams echoed through the smoke filled air. I did not flinch, though I was only inches away from the grasp of death itself. I closed my eyes wishing I were back in my room with the lights turned off; my head snuggled deep into my blankets. 2
Then, my eyes shot open. There they were just inches away from my scared and awestruck face, though they had none. I waited as they slowly and elegantly glided towards me. I dared not try to run, although my frozen body would have made that difficult in any manner. 3
One reached for my ice-cold body, when I first felt the strange and exhilarating urge. The demons shone in my bright glow of raging flame.4
