Approaching The End

I've been sitting in this place for years just waiting for this day. They're gonna kill me today, for what I did to that poor little girl. She got what she deserved and now I'm paying for it! 1

Today they're gonna drag me down that hall, they're gonna give it to me good! They're gonna beat me until I'm half dead to make the job a lot shorter. They're gonna make me get down on my knees and pray to god, apologize for what I've done, but I'll just laugh and spit in their faces. I don't need no salvation, especially not from a made up character from a famous book! So then they'll beat me once more, to the point where I can barely walk. I'll most likely laugh through the blood in my mouth, but then the shock of the pain will kick in, till I'm cryin' out in agony as they drag me further down the cement floor. My former prison mates will watch as my almost unrecoginizable body slides towards the end of the tunnel. Some will point and whisper, some will look down on me with a menacing grin, others will turn away, for it's too much for some to handle. Then, they'll shove me down into that metal chair. They'll strap my wrists down uncomfortably tight. They'll wet my forehead and tighten those screws down into my skull till they're sure I can't take it off. 2

When they ask me what my last words are, I'll look up at them, my tear stained eyes pressing a hate down into their souls, and they'll feel a hint of guilt as I say,3

"If heaven won't let me in, and hell won't forgive my crimes, what then, do you suppose happens to me... After you get you're little chance to play god?"4

They'll just look at me and laugh and I'll grin and tell them all, "Today's not your day!" And that's when I'll hold my breath until my lifeless body lays limp in that goddamn electric chair.

    wow, COOL!!! horrible but cool nonetheless. at first i thought it was medieval. I pictured the chic from HP, La Strange.

    Hmmmmm

    its very interestin making the protagonist a bad guy and its also hard to pull it off but you did
    The peice was well written and you could really feel what the convicted man was feeling and the pride he took of his actions.
    Again its a strange peice since you don't know whether to cheer the guy on or not but none the less it was really well written, good job

    I wonder if he would actually carry out what he thinks or be to consumed by fear to say anything in the end..

    That was..... intense. But it was one hundred and eight words below the word limit. I'm sorry, but I can't judge you because you broke a rule. I don't DQ, but next time shoot for a longer story.
