The simultaneous blasts of the Death curse collided in mid-air, creating a powerful blast like lightning. Both Gryffindor and Slytherin were knocked backwards at great speed. Both were seriously burned, and sapped of all magic, but alive. As the two combatants stumbled to their feet, thunderous hoofbeats heralded the arrival of a horde of Centaurs-Armed and dresssed for battle!1
"CEASE AND DESIST!" bellowed the Centaur leader, who was dressed in bronze armor and barding, and a helm with a red plume. "You are tresspassing on our Sacred Grove!"2
"YOUR sacred grove? What are you tal..."3
"SILENCIO!" Slytherin's words were cut off in mid-sentence by a spell from a Centaur-magician.4
"Gryffindor" The Centaur leader glared angrily "you saved my life once, but even THAT does not justify your actions here. Explain yourself at once!"5
"I beg your forgiveness Great One, but i didn't know this grove was sac..."6
Gryffindor started to explain, but the Centaur leader was in no mood to hear.7
"I spare your lives this time, out of honor for your past service, but if you or any of your kind ever enters this grove again, your blood will pay the price for sacrelidge, now GO!!!"8
With their last ounces magic, Gryffindor and Slytherin both disapparated. Slytherin to one of his secret hideouts, and Gryffindor to Hogwarts.9
An exhausted Gryffindor checked into the Hospital wing, where he was met later by Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.10
"Is it finished?" Ravenclaw asked.11
"No' Replied Gryffindor. "Slytherin lives, and we remain in danger. I have failed."12
"No!" Hufflepuff held out her hand "this is how things were ordained to be. You and Salazar were not fated to kill each other".13
"Be that as it may, we are in danger. Slytherin is still a threat, we must prepare to meet that threat, our first order of business is to ensure that Slytherin never returns to Hogwarts."14
Ravenclaw responded "I know a powerful charm against Apparation. we must place it throughout Hogwarts at once"15
And so it was that Hogwarts to this day is safe from Apparation spells.16

Excellent! The next part (more clapping emoticons entered here) has arrived. You have explored this battle very well, and I like the fact that you involved the centaurs in this story, and I like the fact that you have created a sacred grove for the centaurs.
This had the potential to be a really long fan fiction, but you cut it off, which was a brave thing to do. It is a sudden stop though, and I'm still not sure if I like it (that isn't critizism, it's just my opinion). I really love the rest of this story though - you have created an excellent story!
