Pass It On: The Storm-Chapter 14-The Angel's Sin

Anna ran through bushes and realized how lost she was. She sat where she was on a rock and looked around. Trees were everywhere. It was dark. Everyone at the ceremony was gone including Artemis.2

Anna let out a groan of frustration. She could feel her wings light up the dark around her. It was burning but, it didn't hurt her. Anna got up and decided to look from the skies. 3

She flew up from where she was and looked at the land below. There were no Vampires, no people and no Artemis. She was alone. 4

"Why the hell did I tell him to leave?" she asked herself letting out a wave of anger that caused a small earthquake. Houses broke apart, trees fell and animal were crushed under the weight of each tree.5

Anna went back down and covered her mouth. She started to cry quietly and softly. Her tears the color of liquid mercury and hitting the ground making it fill with color.6

"Need some help?" said a voice.7

Anna looked up and saw a shadow. She tilted her head with wonder, anger and bewilderment on her face. He laughed and became solid. He was pale skinned like a Vampire but, had no fangs. He had black wings like Anna's but, they were outlined with white and were misty and made of smoke.8

"Who…who are you?" Anna asked.9

"I'm Constantine. You can call me Constance. What's yours?" He asked putting out his hand.10

"Anna. Anna Storm." She replied taking his hand. A light shone in his hand as he pulled her up, "What are you?"11

"I'm the Devil's angel, your other half." He said.12

"But, I'm not an angel. I'm a Light Blood Woman." Anna said.13

"Now, who told you that? What do you think a 'Light Blood Woman' is?" Constance asked. Anna giggled.14

"Well, why are you here?" Anna asked.15

"Because, Anna, you needed me. Do you want to go home?" Constance asked.16

"But, I can't. I have to fight Reper so he can't enslave all Vampires. I have to go to the H.V.C.." Anna said.17

"What have Vampires done for you, Anna? What's the point in helping them?" He replied.18

"That's not what matters! What matters is that I help them! I don't need anything in return. When you do something nice, your not supposed to expect anything in return! Besides, it's in my family. If I don't, Reper will kill me for sure. There was nothing stopping him from killing my mother." Anna said a tear falling from her face.19

Constance wiped it away and smiled. "I know about your mother, Anna. I'm very sorry. I understand how you feel but, why are you here if you need to get to the H.V.C.?" he asked.20

"I don't know. I need to get there. Will you help me?" Anna asked.21

Then, Constance kissed Anna. Light shone from her as Darkness surrounded the both of them. A few minutes later, Anna opened her eyes and looked around. She was alone again and was in front of a huge fortress. On the front, in big letters, said, "H.V.C."22

Anna looked around to see if anyone was there. Then, she went up to the door and touched the door knob. The door flew open and Anna stepped in with one thing on her mind, 'What have I gotten myself into?'23
