People say "I hate President Whoeveritis," and I don't understand why they say that.1
First of all I don't understand why they say this is that, after all, they helped elect him or her. I mean, yeah, they could have voted for the other person, but really the presidents don't do anything stupid at the very beginning, so they only 'hate' the president near the middle and end of their term they do something that some of the people don't like.2
Secondly, they're only going to be president for 4 years! That's all! Then you can elect somebody new to then proceed to say "I hate whoeveritis." 3
I understand that people don't like the Iraqi war, my own dad was sent to Kuwait, but President Bush thought that they had WMDs and decided that we should check it out. 4
Just because you don't like what was happening doesn't mean you should hate somebody for what they thought was a good idea, in other words their opinions, and I don't hate you for your opinion.5
Also, even if you don't like what they're doing they are the president! Show them some respect!! Every other person in the world does!!6
Thank you for reading!
what did you think?

I would have to agree with daftweejimmy. As Americans, we often fail to understand how our policies affect others around the world. In a perfect world, the title of President would entitle a person to their due respect. Unfortunately, in our society that respect must be earned.

Hmmm.....
I get the feeling that someone young wrote this, so I don't want to be too harsh. However, you're way short of the word count.
I have to say that there are some very dubious statements here too, especially your last statement. I could introduce you to whole countries full of people who have no time at all for your president, and very few people had any real regard for the last one either. Doesn't mean they hated him, it just means they would have preferred someone who could walk and chew gum at the same time as the man with the most powerful position in America, not someone who famously injured himself with a bagel!
If you can flesh this out a little, maybe give us non-americans a little insight into why we should think more highly of someone who has four years to ruin the country and other countries as a consequence, maybe it should be considered in the contest, but otherwise I will have to DQ it on grounds of brevity. -
Politics and life has become too divisive..too personal. It is ok to hate/dislike someone's position on an issue. That does not mean that you hate the person. The 7/24 media does not help as they gain ratings by inflaming issues. The left and the right are polarized and common sense seems to have been the casualty. President Obama is trying to reach out but the Republicans will have none of it. So much more the pity.
A great insight in yours above...thanks you.
