Name Meaning and Origin2

He has no hidden identity; there was no reason for one. He has many nicknames, however, such as the Ash Sitter, the Son of Fire, and the One Born in an Ash Tree. He got these names later in life, for he became an Ash Dweller (one who plays with fire).3

His first name, Aidan, means simply “fire” in Irish. 4

Aiden’s last name, Asher, is a more complicated dissection. The meaning is “dweller near an ash tree”. This is fitting for Aiden because he is an Ash Dweller. However, he was not chosen to be an Ash Dweller until his early twenties, the usual age for the choosing of Element Drivers. His ancestors were the original Ground Shifters so it was only logical that Aiden would be one as well. However, while growing up he was not like his brothers and sisters. They would have fun by building things without touching them and creating small sculptures entirely made of rock. Aiden, on the other hand, did not posses any of those talents. His gifts resided in the family fireplace with the coal and flame. When no one was watching, he made the fire dance for him, breathing it in and out as if it were oxygen. It is a bit ironic his parents named him Aiden Asher for they had no knowledge of his talents at the time.5

Description and Birth6

Aiden is a very handsome character with hair the colour of burnt wood and golden brown skin. His eyes are a blazing compliment to his skin being an icy blue, presumably reflecting the sorrow and ice that makes up his beautiful wife, Isabella Freeze. He was born on November 2 in the Northeast Country, Toom. 7

Life Story8

Aiden was banned to the Overbearing Land on Terra Incompertus to do community service for life after he illegally married someone of Soul Freezer descent while he was one born among the ashes. Because he attempted to reunite Fire and Ice- which is considered bad luck in Eyelantis- he was called by the people, Bringer of Bad Luck. Being the dedicated husband that he was, Aiden escaped from Terra Incompertus (something that had never been done before) and traveled to Zynon, the North Country, to find his wife. However, his life was lost in a terribly fatal snow storm only a day’s walking distance away from where Isabella dwelled. Some say that the ghost of his past life still wanders Zynon, forever lost in a forgotten storm. Those who have “seen” this phantom call it the Diamond Desertwalker for he walks through a snowy desert in search of the one who resembles a crystal.9
