The Book

1

Ten years ago an Arabian market traveled across Europe, far from their Baghdad. I found them and in one of the tents I meet a man that, in the name of Allah, claimed to possess a book with infinite pages, which could be always turned without end. I acquired the book and following his instructions I opened randomly when I arrived home. I read that page. It was wonderful. I read it again.2

Today, I still read the page. I fear turning the pages of the book and discovering his end and the lie of the salesman. I fear turning the pages of the book and discovering the truth about his infinite and never find that page again. 3

It is the only page I have been reading, for ten years. 4

and here is the Portuguese original version:5

O Livro6

Reli. 7

Hoje, ainda a leio.

This is a little hard to follow because of the wording, and it wouldv'e been nice to see an original piece. It sounds from your description that this is a legend or passed down story. The portugese is really cool though. I like it.
