I raise my gun higher, the creature is weak now, one more bullet and he would be gone for good. But if i did fire, was i much different from the monster? I knew it was my wrong, but it was my job to protect humans. I cock the gun. Anything which can bleed, can die.2

The creature stares me in the eyes, his claws digging into its wounds, removing the bullets. It shows no pain in it's expression. Almost like it didn't feel anything at all. When completed, he stumbles a few steps back, no pain in his face. I almost think he feels no pain when suddenly he smiles, his white sharp teeth gleaming. Within the blink of an eye, he was gone. Fuck that guy is fast, i didn't even see him move.4

I am scared now, there is someone or something around me which is stronger and faster than me and is probably pissed. I move slowly towards the girl, keeping an ear out for any weird sounds. I kneel down besides the girl, she is still alive, but only barely. I rip my shit off and use it as a bandage for her wounds. I then grab my CB radio off my belt and continuously repeat the order: 20-something year old female bleeding to death under Braden Bridge. Immediate backup!; until i hear the sound of sirens in the distance. I reach for my drinking container, squirting liquids over the girls face removing the blood. She opens her mouth groaning trying to catch the liquid. I place the bottle in her mouth and begin slowly feeding her with it like a woman feeding a baby with a warm bottle of milk.6

She drains the bottle completely, then slightly rolls her head in my direction and says in a weak sing song voice 'thank you' the sounds of sirens are coming close, only a few more moments and she'll be safe, hopefully. While sitting next to her waiting i think about the creature beforehand. the eyes. the claws. the fangs. the speed. the strength. I know there is more than meets the eyes for that one, i only hope it harms no other. Behind me a door a slams. I twist my head to see an ambulance. I smile, now she is safe, hopefully. 8
