{Edward Cullen} ~ : Frozen Tears : ~ {Ch. 1 - A New Group}

"Ah, the sun, surf, and sand . . ." A well-known female tossed her head back, letting a light sprinkle of rain hit her showing skin, while she laughed at her companion's comment. "Mike, please quit it." She stood up, placing her hands into her shorts. Eric and Angela watched as she stretched her arms high above her head, showing off in her brand-new blue bikini. "Hello beautiful!" That's when Everyone knew what was going to happen next. The female glanced back, a glare in her eyes. Her ex-boyfriend, Embry, made his way with Quil and Jacob. "Hey Jacob! How are you!" She chirped, crossing the soft sand to hug her best friend. "Hello, how are you today, Vale?" The raven-haired girl squeezed Jacob tightly, smiling. "I'm fantastic! And so ready to get outta here! Thanks for letting us use the beach! Hi and bye Quil!" Vale ran past the three tribe boys, heading for her BMW, with her flip flops making a popping sound along the way. "I think she's still pissed . . ." Embry punched Quil harshly, rolling his eyes. "Shut up. I can't help my heart!" They continued to argue as the others headed back.1

"Damn that persistent guy!" I cursed, shoving another handful of fries into my mouth. I chewed them hopefully, thinking about horrible ways to torture Embry. Pressing my body against Jacob was Plan A . . . Which was a big, fat PLUS BABY! "Ya know, Vale, you don't really like him."
"Yeah, but I still want him to suffer! NO ONE dumps me." I chugged the last of my coke, before gasping. "What?" I removed the glass from my vision, setting it on the table as my eyes went towards the window, seeing a beautiful teen waiting for the light to change. He didn't seem to have noticed me, so I forgot about him in a split second. "I think I swallowed a fly!" I covered up quickly, putting on a grin. "That's the third this week!" Jessica paled, and ran towards the bathroom. Mike and I laughed, high-fiving one-another. 2

When I got home, it was dark, and empty. My grandmother was fast asleep in her room. I walked over and closed the door, smiling lightly. My small preteen brother slid down the banister of the stairs, looking to me with a glare. "You're late again, Vale. Why don't you ever come home in time to play?" I smiled lightly, ruffling his hair before planting a kiss on his forehead. "Common, I'll play outside, the backyard."3

Chasing the fireflies were better than I thought. We had plenty of fun, and caught a few in jars, letting them light some of the forest. "Gah, Evan! Stop!" I ran up and picked up in my arms, jumping back as a poisonous snake snapped at him. "Sister!" He whimpered, holding his bitten hand. I took out my safety dagger, slamming it down on the snake's head. "Stupid pest!" I hissed, quickly ripping my jacket cloth. "Sit still."4

I spat out the last venom from my brother's system, smiling gently. Since my mother use to exterminate pests, I usually came along to see what happened, and such. Another thing that could of saved my grandfather's life. "There ya go." I patched up his hole wounds and showed my best smile. He stared at me, giving a small kiss to my forehead before going to bed. I watched him, waiting until his shadow disappeared, then I released the fireflies.5

When the sun popped up, I was heading out the door, with a simple breakfast of hot chocolate chip muffins in back Japanese lunch box. I was so happy, because today I got to be an office supporter. That's the type of kid who gets lucky, and skips most of the classes to help out the office. I happened to be one of them that came often. "Oh Shit." I grabbed onto a street pole, swirling myself to miss an incoming car. "MIKE! DO YOU WANNA HIT ME!" I yelled, storming towards Mike's car. He apologized several times as I got into the passenger seat, where apparently, Jessica wanted to sit in the first place. Her, Eric, and Angela were riding in the back, smiling nervously at me. "Whatever, just drive."6

I heard loud squeals in the halls, walking from the office with a bunch of papers in my grasp. "Hey! Get to class you dueling fangirls!" I commanded, setting the papers down on a bench. Five people walked up to me, showing off their grace and beauty by smiling. "Yo. You're new here, so let's get ya situated. I'm Vale Well. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask." I picked up the papers again, and led them to the front office, ignoring their amazed expressions. "OK, these's are new students, Mrs. Please get them in order while I pass these out to the teachers." I waved off the new kids before walking past them, heading for the open door. 7

Lunch wasn't that good. I got an apple and laid from my butt up, on the table, looking at the others. They each chuckled at my own way of doing things. "Hey, guess what?"
"Hmm?" I really didn't care on Jessica's mouth, breath, or words. She didn't have good things to say. "The Cullens, ya know, they new people? They are from Alaska!" I rolled my eyes, tossing my apple in the air. People cheered as it hit a waste basket by the door. "Thank you! Thank you!" I called, sitting up and waving to everyone in the cafeteria. "She's a show off . . ." I stopped my nice faze, glaring in a small corner, where a big, buff guy was sneering at me. "Ya got something to say, fucker!" I challenged, standing ontop of our table. Everyone backed up, their eyes full of fear. "Show. Off," he said slowly, acting as if I was a child! "Alright, asshole!" I jumped off my table, sprinting at him. 8

I stopped a few inches, kicking him in the ribs as hard as I could. Most people gasped, and whispered around. I grabbed the kid's shirt, slamming him against the wall. "Say that again, I dare you." I lifted him and forced his back against the wall once more, showing that I wasn't playing. "Calm down, Vale!" Mike hurried to my side, placing an arm on my shoulder. I let the kid go, walking past the Cullens as they stood by, staring at what I left.
