The Story of Tiredness and Sleepiness; A Bedtime Story

This is a story I made up for my baby cousin. This is the discussion we had first time I told him, and the story told within.1

"Jordan! Bed time!" 2

"But Cherriee I'm not sleepy!" 3

"Are you tired?" 4

"A little bit but I'm not sleepy!" 5

"Then you should at least lay down on bed." 6

"Aww do I have too?" 7

"Yes you should." 8

"But I'm not sleepy!" 9

"You can play games from your bed til you are tired." 10

"But why?!" 11

"Cause tiredness and sleepiness hold hands." 12

"What do you mean?"13

"When someone is tired they can become sleepy, yet when they are sleepy they often only feel tired or don't feel tired at all. You can never be too sure since they look alike so much." 14

"Are you sleepy?" 15

"No." 16

"Are you tired?" 17

"A little bit." 18

"Will you lay down with me?" 19

"Sure." 20

"Why do they look alike?" 21

"Who?" 22

"Sleepiness and tiredness?" 23

"Cause they're soulmates." 24

"What's a soulmate?" 25

"A soulmate is someone who is your other half. You in the opposite or same gender. I hope opposite though. Like grandma and grandpa." 26

"So they get married?" 27

"No, they never get married." 28

"Why?! Soulmates should get married just like grandpa and gramma!" 29

"Well, before they get married everyone passes out so we're not even sure weither they are. Let's just say they do get engaged." 30

"Okay. Want to play a game with me til I am sleepy?" 31
