Another day, another way to die. I think the teachers are literally trying to kill me here; they always pick on me because I am new. Just because I’m new doesn’t mean I know all the answers! When I woke up this morning, Peter wasn’t waiting for me. I didn’t even know where he was. He wasn’t in class or at lunch. But when I walked out of my room, giving Mandy a last evil stare, Vic was there.
“Uh, hi Vic,” I said wondering where Peter was.
“Hey Cam, I hope you don’t mind if I take you to class today.” It wasn’t a question, just more of an, “I’m gonna take you to class.”
“Oh, okay, I guess that’s fine.” I replied hiding the depression. Where is Peter? I ask myself silently. Most of the walk to class was quiet except when we got to my homeroom class,1
“So Vic...” I didn’t know if I should ask, but I had to. “Do you know where Peter is? Because he usually walks me to class, but today...I mean, not that I didn’t want you to walk me, it’s just...” I trailed off.
Vic looked at me like he hated me, but that expression wore off as fast as it came. In its place, was jealousy.
“I don’t like you hanging out with him Cam, he’s not the kind of crowd you want to be around.” He said looking normal again.
“Thanks for your concern but shouldn’t that be up to me? And besides, he told me he only came this year too, like me, so why does everybody hate him so much?” I asked frustrated.
“Well maybe we can just tell, there’s something up with that guy, Cam. Just promise me you will be safe.” I look away and roll my eyes, he doesn’t notice.
“Okay, whatever. I gotta get into class. I’ll see you later.” Quickly, I turn around and head through the door just as the bell rings for classes to begin. Before I sit down, I quickly glance at the door where I was just standing a minute ago; Vic was still there, staring at me. I blink, and he’s gone. Like that’s not creepy. 2
After school I was on my way to the dorm when I saw something lurking around in the shadows. Being me, I thought I should look. Quietly, I tip toe over to the courtyard and peek around the corner.
“Cam?” I jumped about 10 feet in the air, “what are you doing?”
“Jesus! You scared me Peter!” I said.
“Sorry,” he did the smile.
“Where were you today?” I asked.
“I was, uh, sick. Yeah. The flu’s goin’ around. I gotta go bye.” He said spinning around and dashing away. Great, another great escape.

Wow, kinda struggled through this...the paragraphing got me reading some lines over...
Anyway, I think I like this chapter the most so far. It was interesting and I can see a love triangle blooming.
The pacing might be a little too fast for my liking though...But it was quite alright, other than that. -

of course i do!! this is awesome writing. i dont like to say nothin bad, but ill tell you this: your Graynight (loooove the title) chapters could be longer. if you wanted to. and your cover is awesome!! well i dont wanna be a hypocrite by saying this and my chapters for my story isn't long at all.

lolI didn't have enough time for longer chapters, but the story I'm working on now is hand-written and the first chapter is seven A4 pages long :$ lol
