Together ; It doesn't feel right at all [Chapter 21]

“So you’re going back out with him?” Brian asked.1

“Yes, well I don’t know, I think so.” Kelsey said.2

“So after everything that’s happened you’re just going to go back out with him? Just because he said a couple of stupid love lines?”3

“They weren’t stupid – he meant them!”4

“Yeah I’m sure.” Brian said sarcastically.5

“What’s wrong with you anyway?”6

“What’s wrong with me? What about me? This all time you’ve been talking about James but what about us? What about us before James came along again?” Brain asked angrily.7

“I thought we were just friends.” Kelsey said faintly into the phone. That wasn’t true she thought, I really did like you but I like James a whole lot better.8

“Yeah friends who kissed and hug like a couple of course we’re friends. But fine forget that, let me give you some advice as a “friend” – dump him. Who was the one that caused you all that sadness for the pass two months? And who was the one who cheered you up? Think about that Kelsey. And if you choose him don’t ever call me again.”9

“Brain, don’t say that please. I know everything you’ve done for me, but James is that father of my baby.”10

“Don’t give me that bullshit Kelsey, he’s been the father since you found out but that didn’t matter. You’re so naïve Kelsey, you need to grow up and do some thinking if you’re going to be a mother and dump that asshole” Brain said angrily and slammed down the phone.11

“H - Hi, can I speak to Kelsey please?” Ashley said nervously into the phone.13

“Speaking, ash?”14

“Yeah, erm I just called to thank you for today and I’m really sorry.”15

“It’s no problem; don’t worry about it I’m over it now. I’ll just have to fend off the rest of the school, but guess what?” Kelsey said excitedly.16

“What?” Ashley asked.17

“I said guess, but James and I may be going back out again.”18

“Cool.” Ashley said faintly into the phone.19

Was Kelsey stupid Ashley thought, after all James had done to her and she was going to go back out with him? Everything would turn out wrong for her, but how could Ashley say that when Kelsey was being so nice?20

“Yeah we talked and he was really sweet, so we are going to start things again.” Kelsey said.21

“That’s nice, sorry I have to go, I’ll speak to you in school maybe?”22

“Yeah ok, Ash? Were friends right now?”23

“Yeah friends.”24

Ashley put down the phone and sat on her bed. She didn’t know that Kelsey was the one to fall for sweet talk, so James had said a couple of words and now Kelsey was trying going out with him again? This wasn’t the Kelsey she knew, Kelsey had changed. Well so have I Ashley thought.  But Kelsey wasn’t an idiot James would never stick by her, this was just a chance for him to get her back. Ashley sighed and lay down on her bed; she looked up on her ceiling and spotted something she hadn’t noticed.25
