The legend of Atlantis is well known througout the world and lot's of people have been searching for it. A company has found it but they're not sure so they have assembled a team of elite agents and soldiers and one of them is Ryan, A Photon swordsman who has served the Australian Photon Army (A.P.A) for three years and now he is part of the team which has been named Atlantia. The plan is they will travel to Atlantis and investigate. Will they find a hostile race? Will they find peaceful People? Or will they just find abandoned under water ruins?1
*Atlantia Base 1200 hours*2
"...we miss you Ryan"!3
"I miss you too guys...I'll see you later". Ryan said as he deactivated his communication terminal and sighs. A man walked in and said "Ryan we're leavin in twenty minutes".4
"I'll be there soon".5
"I'll see you there".6
Ryan stood up and took his equipment and went to the launching grounds. Waiting for him was his squad commander and the rest of the team. "Ryan you don't have to come on this mission" The commander said.7
"No...I'm staying 'til the very end thats an oath I say we should all take". Ryan put his hand out "Until the end"?8
everyone put their hand ontop of his and said "Until the end"!9
"Alright Men we better get going"! The commander said to everyone.10
*Inside 'The Endevour III'*11
The commander stood infront of everyone and said "As you know we are going to find out if the Myth of Atlantis is really truth! From now on You are to refer to me as Leroy not commander...I respect all of you by calling you by your names the least you can do is call me by mine are we clear"?12
"Sir yes sir"!13
"What was that"!?14
"Yes Leroy"!15
"Thats better! Now we'll arrive at our destination in 2 hours prepare for anything".16
A man sitting next to Ryan tapped him on the shoulder and said "Hey I'm Alex"!17
"I'm Ryan...Ryan Jhonson".18
"No kidding! I went with you to High School It's been three years since I last saw you".19
"Alex...oh my god you've changed alot! I was at the A.P.A for three years then I was told I was going on a mission to Atlantis...I thought it was a joke until Leroy approached me".20
A woman siting next to Ryan turned her head and said "Hello Ryan it's been 2 years since I last saw you".21
"First Alex now you Laura"?22
"Well we all kept our promise after all" Alex said23
Jen and Ryan looked at him and said "Promise"?24
"We promised we would serve the world one day as soldiers looks like we're doing it...I joined the army of course but does the A.P.A seperate people into groups"?25
"No I quit and joined the Anti-Terrorist department of the army and I was trained in all sorts of weaponry".26
"Yeah but not Photon energy weapons" Ryan said27
"No I learnt how to use some of them".28
"Well we should be at Atlantis soon so we should get ready" Alex said while loading his gun.29
*Target location 1530 hours*30
A gaint metal dome could be seen it had blue lights coursing through it and a door opened letting the Endevour III inside the dome. Leroy stepped out and guards ran to them and said "Outsiders? We welcome you to Atlantis! Please...Please follow us"! The guards led everyone to the Palace and what looked like the guard captain said "Please wait while I alert the king of your presence". He walked off and the team waited. When the doors closed Ryan looked around and said "This place is huge! It also seems pretty advanced for a stone building".31
Then the doors burst open and shots of energy hit the guards and the guard captain was launched out and the doors closed. When he hit the ground he quickly drew his sword and said "Outsiders I require some assistance! Attack the ones in black armour and help the ones in the golden armour". Ryan drew his sword and said with a smile on his face "That won't be a problem, Leory permission to take temporary control of the mission".32
"Granted"! Leroy said drawing two pistols.
"Ok...Alex, Jen, Leroy and the guard captain are with me to re-take the inside while everyone else battles outside so once we re-take the inside join us inside"!
"Outsider your plan is good and I will gladly accompany you and the others while the rest of your companions distract the Black Eye troopers beyond those gates are the royal gardens and then once we get inside we can free the king and the princess". The guard captain said.
"But how are we going to get in"? said Alex.
"Leave that to me" Jen said while reaching into her pocket pulling out a small charge of explosives. Once Jen set the explosives up Ryan said to the Guard Captain "We'll help rebuild any damage thats done".
"Thank you Outsider...you are too kind, allow me to introduce my self I am Argon".
"I'm Ryan".
The charge detonated and the doors were blown out of place. Ryan, Alex, Leroy, Jen and Argon ran into the garden and the rest of the team followed while fireing stun shots. While Ryan and his team made their way into the palace the rest of the troops stayed behind as planned.33
*Inside*
"Wow...I only wish we weren't here on a territory dispute...this palace is beautiful...". Jen said while holding her rifle firmly.
"Do not worry this should not take too long" Argon said drawing his sword. Ryan pressed a button his glove he held his sword with and Photon energy coursed through it like it were veins. The red energy surronded the swords blade.34
"Hey Ryan think a Professional Sniper like me can hit one from 100 miles away"? Alex asked.
"Knowing you, add 700 miles to that and you'd still hit the target". Ryan replied smiling but he knew he had to get this dispute over and done with as soon as possible other wise the Atlantian King might be murdered by the enemey.

Explinations: Photon energy is like plasma but plasma is more of a liquidy kind of acid or gas while Photon is more of a gas that melts through almost anything. A photon swordsman has a glove that courses and filters the photon energy to the sword, the filtering prevents the corruption of photon energy. Alex is a sniper as you may have seen near the end of this chapter. Jen is a demolitions expert with advanced soldiers training making her a valuble addition to any team. Argons sword is actually harvested Corenite which comes from the earths core and hardened this metal is very easy to bend and shape but it is almost idesructable and it can deflect a bullet. A freind asked what a Photon swordsman is capeable of and heres the answer: A photon swordsman is trained for very intense combat and since Australia is the only country where Photon is harvested they have their own army dedicated to mastering Photon as a weapon. Ryan is highly ranked due to his talent and his determination giving him the permission to use a Photon-Accel Suit it will make Ryan faster and make everything around him seem slow.

APA? As in the American Psychology Association?
I am curious what a Photon Swordsman is. You don't specify what they do or of what they are capable.
You also don't give many descriptions of the characters or places in the story. I can't think up what everything looks like without some help.
The story moves along nicely, though there are few places where your grammar is a bit off.
The story trails off, I've noticed. Trying to get people interested in a series, are we?
It's a good ending. It definitely leaves the reader wanting more.
I feel that you could have easily added more to this story. It moves along very quickly and doesn't have a whole lost of action.
Nonetheless, it is a pretty interesting one. The only real problem is that is focuses more on the effort to get to Atlantis, and not much on Atlantis itself.

Thanks for the good luck wish and APA Stands for Australian Photon Army (Because I decided to honor my country in this) they all use photon energy weapons an Explination is in author notes. I am actually a huge fan of mythology so the Focus on Atlantis and it's culture (well my version of it) comes in later so I'll keep you posted in that because i'll also enter chapter 2 into the contest.
