I stopped jerking and kicked her as hard as I could in each kneecap.1
“AAAAAIIIIIII!” she screamed, keeling forwards. Her legs were swelling and turning white at an alarming rate, I guess I must have broken them.2
“Don't worry sister!” Mimi cried frantically, wracking her brains for a worthy spell. Even with all of this confusion going on, I was still mildly surprised by the word sister. Nobody had ever mentioned it before but perhaps it explained why all three warlock females were blond. 3
I left Divine screaming on the ground and raced over to the much younger looking Mimi. I smacked her hard in the face and she fell to the ground crying like a little school girl. I was rather tempted to cry too. I had broken a knuckle and watched in growing disgust as it pulled itself slowly back into place. I had to remind myself to do that while Tyson was around. It'd make him sick.4
I stepped around Mimi carefully, not trusting her at all. This crying thing could all be an act, just like I had been doing before. One false move and she would snap around, no doubt cursing me into oblivion. I jumped her.5
“Don't say a word,” I growled, holding my hands firmly across her mouth. 6
Mimi struggled and fought against my tightening stranglehold but I wouldn't let go. Not in this lifetime.7
“Hey Roxy,” I bellowed. “Little help over here?”8
Roxy, who had fallen down the second I had laid the blow into my captive’s face, darted forwards in a flash. She was a real mess, blood and rags clinging to her fragile and shaking little body, but her poorly condition didn’t stop her sudden thirst for revenge.9
She pointing her index finger hastily at my prisoner, a truly evil glare reserved just for this occasion. The earth beneath us began to twist and rumble; I dodged the quake quickly, unsure of what was about to happen. 10
Thick brown ropes flew out of the soil, coiling and turning around the witch. She screamed in fright as they pulled her relentlessly to the ground, binding her tightly to the grass. She couldn't move an inch. 11
The ropes, which were in actual fact tree roots, continued covering her body, forcing her head first into the dirt. Bright yellow flowers and leaves started shooting up from her bonds, slinking towards her mouth. Her screams now muffled by the petals and foliage, I raced off to subdue the others. I may not have had formidable powers like the rest of my friends, but so far, I was the only one who had helped take two Magiks down. Impressive by anyone's standards.12
Roxy followed my chase back to Divine who seemed to have found a spell that healed broken bones. She opened her mouth haughtily, but in another flash, she shared the exact same fate as her sister. Bound and gagged by the earth.13
“Thanks,” I whispered hoarsely, smiling at Roxy in appreciation. “I owe you one.”14
“That's great,” she panted brightly. “Would you mind if I used that favour now? I could really use a good healing.”15
“Oh, sure,” I replied, feeling stupid for not offering before hand. I grabbed hold of her arm and felt the power ooze gently from my body to hers. A dull glow flowed around her skin, leaving her as good as new, both inside and out.16
“I can't do anything about your clothes though,” I apologized. “You're just going to have to make do with what you have.”17
Roxy created a large rock in one hand and smirked. “Oh, I'm sure I'll survive,” and with that, she dropped the rock quickly on Divine's head, her struggles stopping in an instant.18
“Is she dead?” I asked, shocked by her sudden movements.19
Roxy bent down and checked her pulse. “Nope. Just unconscious.” She grabbed my hand and we walked over to her sister. She created another rock, roughly the same size and held it dangerously above Mimi's head. “Oh, I'm going to enjoy this,” then, she let the rock fall, leaving three Magiks out and down for the count.20
We watched the two other battles objectively, wondering where we were needed.21
“Oh no,” I whispered hoarsely.22
“What?” she asked.23
“I only see two Magiks fighting.”24
“And?”25
“And where did the giant wolf thing go then?” The two of us stopped breathing. He could be anywhere…as anything. A bird, an ant – either way we wouldn't have a clue. We huddled fearfully together, searching in every direction for any animal that appeared out of place.26
“Look,” Roxy whispered, pointing to the right. “Lying near the tree.” I followed her gaze and saw a giant dog leg poking out from beneath a fallen trunk. There was a large crater surrounding where he lay; he must have got caught in the crossfire with Valance.27
“That just leaves Valance and Adriana then,” I said, stating the obvious. We watched Luke and Adriana dance around each other, avoiding every attack that was thrown at them.28
“Make that just Adriana,” Roxy gasped.29
Tyson jumped easily into view, a few meters away, throwing the motionless body of Valance onto the ground. He stared at the other three Magiks appreciatively. “Wow, you really did a number on these guys,” he laughed, walking toward us. “But where's the overgrown hairball?”30
“Unconscious,” I laughed. “You and Valance must have taken him by surprise.”31
“Sweet,” he chortled. “I took out two. Boy is Yasmine going to be pleased.”32
Adriana seemed to finally notice that all of her comrades had fallen. She jumped backward toward them, no longer willing to fight an unevenly matched battle. Her eyes were furious as she took in the condition of her followers. Tyson and I laughed.33
Adriana glared at me, fiery eyes burning me where I stood. “You may have won this round half breed, but we'll be back. We grow ever more powerful by the day.”34
“And so do we,” Roxy snarled, glaring hatefully at Mimi. “So you just come on out and try us.” The spiteful witch leered at us until the very second she had teleported out of view. Her unconscious followers faded out with her, one by one, and I suddenly understood that I didn't want any of them to leave alive. On the other hand, I didn’t want to be responsible for killing them. Murder was still murder, in anybody’s books.35
“They're gone Jake,” Gordon whispered solemnly in my ear. “Give it up. Chasing after them won't change what will happen to Ella now.”36
“God, this is all your father's fault,” I cried, wringing my hands in desperation. “How could he forget such a key factor about The Book? He knew that only a royal could possess it and still he went and gave it to Kyle! What kind of moron forgets that sort of thing?”37
“A moron trying to do the very best he can,” Gordon scolded. “You may not know this, but there were consequences for my father closing the portals.”38
“Portals? Oh, you mean the ones leading from your world to ours?”39
“Exactly. It took a great deal of my father's strength to close them. It was taxing to push himself so hard and it eventually took its toll on both his mind and body. His long term memory became fractured and it took him weeks just for his muscles to recover and function properly again.”40
“He...lost his memory?”41
“Parts of it. I bet he doesn't even remember my own mother's name. Or that he was the one who started the war.” 42
I blinked. “What w- are you talking about the one between warlocks and dragon kind?”43
“Yes. And do you know what the worst part is? He sacrificed himself in order to protect a deadly enemy from your world and all you can do is complain about it.”44
“I'm sorry, I didn't know that was...I'm really sorry Gordon.”45
“So, what happens now?” asked Tyson, wiping the blood carefully from his eyes.46
“Now,” I said, walking over to him, “I take care of you wounds.”47
Tyson laughed and took a step backwards. “Actually, would you mind leaving them on?”48
“What?” I demanded incredulously.49
“Well, they're battle scars,“ he shrugged. “Women always go ga ga for the strong and wounded type...who knows where it'll lead to.”50
“You know,” I laughed. “If they ever find a man word for slut, I'm sure you'll be the first person to know.”51
“Hilarious,” he smirked, rubbing his torso gently. “But have you got anything to eat?”52
“You're joking right?” Luke demanded. “I thought you were just patting your stomach because it was sore.”53
“Nope, I never kid when it comes to a good meal. I'm famished.”54
“Yeah, they sure did a number on me too,” Roxy agreed. “All that moving around has actually gotten me pretty hungry.” She stared around at the devastating chaos, amazed by the amount of damage we had all caused. There was not a single tree standing or a metre of grass untouched. Blood, twigs and leaves covered the ground and it brought up a rather unpleasant thought. To avoid suspicion from police and investigators, we would have to bury Ella’s parents here.55
My eyes narrowed, adjusting to darkness that was finally settling in. Roxy’s meanwhile were shut tightly in concentration. I had no idea what she was doing until a couple of strawberry bushes pushed themselves carefully from the ground.56
“Best I can do,” she apologised to Tyson. “But when life gives you strawberries, you make lemon juice.”57
“Um,” Luke laughed, “I think you’re a little jumbled up. That’s not the saying at all.” Roxy shrugged, her and Tyson sitting next to the bushes and stuffing their faces with the juicy berries.58
“Well...at least we know what they're after now,” I sighed. “Their true objective is to kill Ella.”59
“Ah huh,” Tyson munched. “So when exactly were you guys planning to talk about the giant elephant in the room?”60
“What elephant?” Roxy asked in surprise, eyes darting hastily in each direction.61
“No, he doesn't mean a real elephant,” I sighed. “It's a figure of speech.”62
“Yeah,” he agreed. “I was talking about Ella's parents.”63
“Yes,” I nodded sadly, watching the last rays of sunlight fade away into the horizon. “We can't ever let her know that they're dead.”64
“Considering they're her parents,” Roxy growled, “and that she talks to them everyday, that's going to be pretty frick'n hard!”65
“If she ever finds out about them though,” Tyson sighed, “we're all dead.”66
“Not to mention,” said Luke, “the world gets taken over by a bunch of spell casting loonies.”67
“Then what are you going to do about it?” Roxy asked suspiciously, throwing away a pip.68
My eyes fell to the ground and didn‘t move. I had been thinking this over for a while now. Considering options and playing out alternatives in the back of my mind, even when the battle was still raging on. My answer was barely more than a whisper when I dared pluck up the courage to speak it: “Luke.”69
Roxy blinked, not seeing where I was going with this. “What about Luke?”70
Tyson gasped, catching quickly onto my plan. “He still has Alex's power.”71
Roxy huffed, getting annoyed. “So?”72
“So he can create a double of Ella's parents just by touching them.”73
“Oh, hell no,” Luke retorted, throwing his arms up. “There is no way I am touching a pair of corpses.”74
“Don't be selfish,” I said. “You have to do this. We need you to do this.”75
Roxy looked horrified. “I don't think we should actually. Ella will be living a lie her entire life.”76
Tyson shook his head. “yes but it's better this way.”77
Her face turned livid. “For whom I wonder? Ella's parents will be nothing more than an illusion. Imagine what she'll think when she finally figures that out.”78
“Then we'll just have to make sure that she never does.”79
“But that's not fair!”80
“You can't do that to her!” Luke protested. “It’s sick.”81
“If you have a better alternative,” I growled, “then I would be delighted to hear it.”82
There was a pause. “What happens when Alex or Luke come over one day and accidentally bump into her parents?” Roxy whispered sadly. “The illusion will be broken and you won't be able to create another one. What happens then?”83
“I don't know alright. I'm just trying to do what is best by Ella. I don't want her to suffer.”84
“So you'd rather lie?” she accused.85
“If that's what it takes. Sometimes...there's no such thing as a happily ever after...and we've learnt that first hand.”86
Roxy seemed to be chewing on her tongue, I took that a sign of defeat. “Will you do it, Luke? Will you help me?”87
The poor guy looked as if he had just been forced to swallow something rotten. “I'll see what I can do,” and he marched off across the oasis, eventually lost to the night.88

You should contuine writting because i what to know more this chapter hasn't end this is an excellent story

Nasty start. Hitting girls? Of course, they deserve it. Also, I missed noting Jake had taken centre stage. Good to see him finally take a non-passive role. I'm going to sum it up with this:
This isn't an ending. It's a setup for something bigger. The Phyrric Victory and all the elements are in place; three strong characters developed and many others to expand on, including villains (we haven't met them all, have we?) Weaknesses revealed for all and potential disaster for the team at any moment. You've built an impressive world here. Keep expanding on it - this journey's well worth taking.

hmmm...it is a kind of moral dillemna-once a person is dead, bringing him back to life again...that's a very creepy subject dealt with in the story "The Monkey Paw" If you're going to make all the characters immortal, then it kinda spoils the tension in the climax, because you'll be thinking "Jake's just going to revive them, so what's the use? There should be a certain amount of restriction on that ability...

Huh. But ... what about the other dracosapiens that were supposed to die?
They achieved a victory, albeit hollow if the magiks will just recover and return. I think they should have at least got the book back.
But kudos on the battle and making Jake the hero of the day
Poor useless Jake actually has a very useful magical immunity in addition to playing the team medic.
I gotta say, it feels like there should be a chapter after this. Maybe dealing with Ella and what happens when she wakes.
lol, in other words, write the next book quick
