[Series 2] The Haunting Reflection {Chapter Four - Snow}

I stared at Vence once more, feeling the moon cast it's light through my balcony window. He slept soundlessly behind me. I was already out and onto the balcony, gazing towards the moon. My heart pounded normally, as if there were no worries. Everything has stopped. If there wasn't Estance, Bullit, Darian, and their Leader, everything would of been perfect. Vence and I, actually, would of never hit it off. I sighed, leaning my slender arms against the banister.1

 Snow flakes trickled from the heavens, floating down to the ground, or upon my head and shoulders. "Everything's going to be fine." I blinked several times as Vence wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder. "Arn't you suppose to be asleep?"
"Arn't you? Aries, there's nothing to worry about. You'll . . . Er, we'll be fine." His embrace didn't comfort me one bit, it actually scared me. It was one you would give to a dieing family member. "Vence . . . Please, don't do anything stupid," I whispered, choking on what air I had in my throat. 2

His breathing was even, and his body was still. "I won't. Anything that would upset you, would wound me. Ari, you have to trust me."
"I do, Vence. I just don't want you hurt. Every-time I turn around, there's a fight going on," I tightened my grip in his wrists, turning my head slightly, "it scares me." He paused for a long time, almost as if I had slipped off a clock for good. "Ari . . ." His lips pressed against the corner of mine, in a sort of comfort/affection. I returned the same motion, but aimed dead on his pale lips. Nothing can hurt us . . . My fingers in-twined with his as my back leaned against the banister. Vence's tongue danced it's way into my mouth, licking my own muscle. I slipped mine around his, tugging at his wrists.He made sure to pin me against the banister, while his tongue roamed around my mouth, knowing he would of won the fight.3

I couldn't help but to release a small moan, while my left leg wrapped around his. "Ari . . . ," Vence whispered softly, braking the kiss. I looked into his eyes, just before tilting my face to the side. He couldn't believe that I was offering my throat to him. This couldn't of been a big surprised though. "Mmm . . ." He trailed his nose along my jaw, softly kissing under it. I closed my eyes, feeling at complete bliss. His hands grabbed my waist tightly as he in-hailed right at the base of my joints. "Smells . . . Delicious . . . ," he murmured, leaving a small hickey on my soft spot. My eyes fluttered back open when he pulled away from my neck, looking into my eyes. "Vence . . . You promise, right? That you'll turn me into a Vampire?" I leaned into his chest, not even hearing a heartbeat. His body was cold, and so was the continuous fall of snow, but I didn't mind. "I promise." He wrapped his arms around me, planting a soft kiss onto my forehead. 4

While we sat up on our bed, we hear the loud snoring from the others' rooms. I smiled to myself, noticing Vence's long stare at my face. "What is it?" I questioned, pulling the covers tighter around my shivering body. "You're beautiful, do I need a reason to look at you?" He grinned, climbing over to see my face fully. I touched our noses together, and closed my eyes. I could feel the cold hands of his moved around my body, slowly laying me down, and his face nuzzling against mine.5

"Vence . . . If you know my family, can you tell me how come I'm not a Vampire?" I opened my eyes, seeing his curious face in-front of mine. "Well . . . It's sort-of complicated. When you were born, Z had gotten into an accident, and was changed by your grandfather, who was a Vampire after he got bitten by someone else. Anyways, when Z was a Vampire, he changed your mother and father into a Vampire, after your disappearance, seeing as they need awhile to look for you." 6

I tilted my head slightly. "Who was my mother?" He froze in his spot above me, shrugging his shoulders solemnly. "You might wanna ask Z or Jay. I've never met her, because she went in her estate, in England." I looked towards the window, watching a few flakes fall onto the balcony. "Did she hate me?" I asked, knowing a tear was trailing down my face. Vence brushed it away with his fingers, shaking his head. "She didn't hate you, she just . . . ," Vence trailed off, not needing to explain anything. 7

I stopped my tears, smiling slightly. "Well, after this is all over, maybe we can meet her, and she what's the big deal," I chuckled. He showed a small grin, kissing my jaw. "And you can meet my father, and brothers." I turned to the side, just as Vence laid beside me. We faced each-other, like a reflection of a heart. "What are they like?" I yawned, cuddling up to his body. He embraced me firmly, lolling me to sleep with his calm voice, speaking of his family . . .

Author notes

OK guys, since this series is going to be cool, I'll need ideas. So the next chapter will be a Q & A chap. This is your chance to comment with all your questions, while the character's answer them in their best way, without giving anything in the story. So ask, ask, ask!
