Friendly Books

Even if I loose my social friends,1

I will go home and find at least one friend, 2

Weather 'tis be my mother, father, or even my brother. 3

They will come and go just as they please. 4

But i have friends within this house,5

That will never leave, 6

'til we move them 7

they will stay. 8

These friends are books. 9

If not the books, 10

the stories that lay beneath the frail bindings. 11

And if so happens i cannot find a friend in a book, 12

Then i shall never find a friend for life.13

Author notes

One of my early poems, when i felt like the world had abandoned me, but i kept on reading, cause it was my only escape.
