With the Wind Comes Death Part Two

There was a knock at the door.1

The lady awoke from her stone cold slumber and sat upright.2

"Always look before you cross the street," she whispered as she looked out the window.3

She got out of the bed, put her robe on, then headed to the door.4

As she opened it she saw the worried face of a woman. The woman was young, in her twenties no doubt.5

"Sorry to wake you, Miss." she said.6

"My name is Josephine, and I'm looking for my daughter, Estella. She was playing outside but she never came back home. It's been hours, and I'm so worried."7

"Your daughter is dead," the lady answered.8

"What! What are you talking about," the Josephine said in horror.9

"It seems she is now hanging from my tree."10

Josephine backed away in horror. 11

"That isn't my daughter. You must be mistaken."12

She turned, tears filling her eyes, and hurried back down the path.13

The woman ran out into the street, holding her head. As she did, a car came speeding around the corner. Josphine looked up into the headlights in horror, she froze, and was thrown into the air. She slammed against the pavement, and lay there, dead.14

The woman shook her head as she watched from the doorway.15

"Children should never play outside on nights such as this."16
