In this world...1
In this world there are many things; love, hope, sadness, anger. But most importantly, there is right and there is wrong. Each and every day, the line between them is smeared more than it was the day before. The black and the white are mixed together. As I look around, sometimes I wonder if I will drown in it all. Will I survive? Will I keep my head above? Or will I be pulled under the waves of crime and fear and become just another face twisted with anger and hate?2
In these times when this world is overwhelming my thoughts, my life, I turn to the one Friend I know will calm my fears. The One who will take my heart, and fill it with His presence. In these times I feel as though He has wrapped His wings around my tired and frail body, beaten and battered by other beings in this place we call our home. The ones who seem our friends, but they try to pick at the lock which desperately tries to guard out hearts against the constant wave of evil that is trying to break down that gate.3
He is there. I cannot physically see Him, but I seek Him out as best I can. I cannot physically hear Him, but my spirit listens to His comforting words of wisdom. I can sense Him; I know he is here. Waiting, watching, helping me along life's road that holds so many snares.4
In my time of need, I rest in the shadow of His wings.5

Certainly agree with you 100 percent. We all need some higher entity to beleive in, to ask for guidance and to hope for something after this life. You have written this very well and pulled no punches. Well done. You have not preached, just stated...
