Counting Down

Well, it's getting to be that time again. Getting packed to go back to school. But there is a slight downside to it. My mom is having surgery next Monday, the same day I go back up to college for my marching band practice. 1

I do not know the time of the surgery; just that it is next Monday. It has pretty much been FUBAR from the start; what with going through all sorts of doctors, surgeons and workman's comp. All of them saying the same thing...2

So, after seven months of 'ring-around-the-doctors' they are forcing her to have the surgery on her left rotator cuff (shoulder tendon), or risk losing her job. The workman's comp doctor put her on a ton of restrictions so she cannot work the floor and is stuck behind a desk all day doing paperwork. Just because her injury is 'personal.' Again, bullshit. 5

So, I'm not quite happy about leaving and that they decided to do it the day I have to leave. But, what can I do? I can't just not go, since this is a credited class. So, it's just suck it up and go.6

Anyway, this was just a mild rant/writing to help me out a bit. 7
