Dear Diary,2
Finally the weekend is beginning! Kristie is staying, as always! Her mom is at work, again like always. It must be hard for Katherine to be a single mom, always working just to make the bills. She does have two very good jobs, and brings in enough money. In a way, I’m glad Kristie’s mom works so much, because I get to spend time with my best friend! 3
It seems as if Kristie and I are never apart! Looking back, I see that we’ve been best friends for over thirteen years now! Ever since we were babies.4
I’m so happy we got these diaries! I know it’s kind of childish, but it’s a good way to talk about our days. Even though we spend most of them together! But, we both went to the store today after school, and got the same diary in reverse colours. Hers is mostly blue with a little green, like on the inside and such. Mine is mostly green with blue. Right now, we’re both writing in them. 5
I don’t know what Kristie is writing in hers though. But, knowing her, it’s probably a detailed description of what she (and I) did today. She’s like that. Me, I just write down whatever comes to my head, in what ever order it comes in usually. Not the best writing technique, but at least I’m honest. And plus, it’s my diary, so who’s here to judge?6
Well, it’s getting late. And Kristie and I are defiantly going to hang out some. It isn’t TOOO late. Haha. 7

Dear Diary, 9
I’m staying the night (and weekend) at Allie’s. That’s what usually happens. I’m either at her house, or she at mine. Lately, my mom has been working a lot more, so I’ve been staying at Allie’s. Our parent’s don’t mind if we stay at my house alone, it’s just Allie’s parents are nice, and they always have stuff for us. But, we stay at my house sometimes. Especially when we need to talk!10
I’m so glad we got these diaries! It gives us a chance to talk about our days, our lives, our emotions. Even though we already share everything with each other, it’s still nice to write about it. And, who knows? Maybe something exciting will happen in our lives, and we’ll be here to write about it!!!11
But first, before I get any farther, I guess I should write about me and Allie. Because I know she wont! Haha. She’s like that, doesn’t think to far ahead. Always just the “now” with her. I guess I’m already starting to describe her! For right now, I’ll just tell about her personality. Later, I’m sure looks will come up. And I may even paste in a picture. She’s very chaotic, very always on the go. At least most of the time. And not very organized, and very straightforward. But she’s always nice, caring, honest, trustworthy, and my best friend for life. We’ve known each other since we’ve been babies. Close to fourteen years now. And we’ve been best friends through all of them.12
Now me. I’m not to much like Allie. At least, when you first know me. Spend any time with me (and usually therefore Allie) you will find out that we are, very much alike. I, myself am not very organized. I’d like to think I’m nice, caring, honest, and other things. But I’m more… “descriptive” as Allie puts it. 13
Today was a normal Friday. The days until summer are counting down, and I cannot wait until summer begins. They’re always the best, because Allie and I can spend all day, everyday with each other. 14
Haha, Allie is getting impatient. She’s been done writing for awhile now, and is still waiting on me! Haha. Well, I guess this is our first goodbye. Tomorrow, I shall write again. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get Allie to keep this up for long though!15
