"I have to go," he sighed, trying to brush everything off to the side. She was nearly hysterical and he had only shown one instance in which he was emotional, when he said that she didn't love him. Naive to the ways of sexual persuasion, all she could concentrate on was the pain. Desperation had won. 1
"Fine," she shouted angrily,"You know what? I can't believe how careless you are being in this situation. How can none of this mean anything to you?!" 2
"Because of this," he replied simply and paused for her response. 3
"This?!" Anger once again took the stand,"You have no idea what this is! This is anger and frustration. This is how blind you are. You're running away from the perfect relationship and you don't even care!" She stopped momentarily to breathe. "But..." he began. "No! I'm not through," she lowered her voice to just above a whisper, "You can't tell me what I feel. You can't stand there telling me that I don't love you, because I do." 4
"Be careful...I didn't mean to get you this worked up, you have to be cautious of your asthma." 5
Tears welded up in her vibrantly blue eyes and began flooding her face. "You don't care for me...for us...STOP PRETENDING!" 6
Her breathing was already harsh, which sparked worry in his mind. He glanced at the clock, it was near 5 p.m. 7
"Just leave," she said seeing him look at the clock, "I can see you're done with me." 8
"No, not until you understand why we can't be together." 9
