She stared at the snow white world, from her window. Barly making out any of the snowmans decorating the yard. The snow Had pilled up over night, nearly covering up all the snowmans her and her little sister made yesterday. And by the look of the clouds, more of the white flakes of hope were coming sooner then they thought. Gently the next flurry began to fall, the snowflakes gently falling much like the leaves did during autumn. Swaying left, and right, again and again, as if they were programed. 1
She remembered her Great Grandpa used to say that all the snowflakes were all different patterns, that none of them were the same. She was anticipating about the day she would see one, the only time she had ever seen a snowflakes patteren was on the last day she say her Pa, then they turned into small balls of powder after that. All the magic from their once beautiful paterns all swept out of her and away from her reach. She became like all the other adults that lived in the house, unable to see the magic in the snow, and see how much great things it could do. As well, as the horible things it will do to the unknown. 2
That, was what she figured that the adults that seemed so fond of her, were probably talking about. Unlike her and her sister, the adults hated the reched thing, complaining about it and making up stories that even they cant believe themselves. She knew that what they said was untrue, but, even she was starting to believe the adults words. But something seemed very unright this mourning, for she didnt hear a single word coming from the adults confrence room. Not even a sound of a whisper came from the room, and she grew suspicouse. Her cat ears twitched on top of her long black hair, straining to hear threw the silent air whether or not the adults were there. 3
As she concentrated, her tail started to playfully whip back and forth. The orange stripes that covered her cream colored ears and tale zagged like the strikes of lighning, the begining could never be seen, nor the end. Her ears continued to twitch back and forth, in a motion of anticipation, hoping to find them talking together about the upcoming holiday of christmas. Hoping they were deciding on what to get her sister and her, she mostly wanted to find out for her sister, but she couldnt help but peek at her own. 4
Yet, she strangly found that the adults were not even speaking, though the thought did occur to her that they knew she was listening and would resume talking if she stopped. But, something seemed to be very wrong, in the background of her hearing was the playful laughter of her sister. She looked at her sister wondering what she was laughing at, she found her sister on the floor rolling around with laughter, yet, when she looked around, nothing was there. 5
But her sister kept laughing, pointing out the window, at a snowman that was not there before. And the face, was not funny, but demented looking, but here she was the teachers pet to all the adults in their home. She would soon be seeing even the old cartoon show that she loved so much as a child, the smurfs, as a demented firgure. 6
After minuets of pointless concentration, she broke off from what she wanted to do, her dreams diminishing into flames of fire in secounds. Turning to ashes and then being blown away with the wind in her mind, being replaced by a clean sheet of paper, to start her knew dreams on. And her sister kept laughing, and laughing, and laughing, keeping her from thinking. And most of all, dreaming, and she was about to crack from it. Then, the laughing slowly subsided from her sister's childish mouth, slowly turning into soft bursts of giggles that barly escaped the closing of the passage way from her heart into the open. Then, the air was incased in silence once again, and for a few moments, it was very theropudic. 7
"Ginmay?" Her little sister's voice asked, it grasping on to the inocence of its younger years and not letting go. Ginmay couldnt help but smile at her small tiger like sister's small inocent voice, it was a voice, that she hoped that her sister would never loose from her child hood, out of everything else. Even, the cute freakles on her sisters cheeks splashing over the bridge of her nose meeting together, and her soft ocean blue eyes, that when she was happy, looked like sea gulls were flying in them. She gently rubbed her sister's orange and black fur in her hands, feeling the soft texture with both her fingers, and her heart. "Yes little Rain?" Ginmay said, wincing at the name that the adults had picked for her sister. She hated the name Rain, thinking it was not a fit for her, she rather name her Gemini, but the adults would not here of that name. 8
Gemini smiled, her beautiful and youth filled smile, showing her baby feeding fangs that were coming in at the top. She looked as cute as a kitten herself, her skin the right color to match her fur, and at times when the sun was high enough would glitter like a diamond in its light. None of the adult's skin could do that, none of them had the same inocent voice as her. 9
"Why dont you say hi to my friend?" Gemini asked, her voice lifting the soft grey smoke from a fire, the sparks from her heart flickering from the flame inside of her, setting anything that they touched on fire with emotion. Ginmay smiled, feeling the heat of her fire even though she was so far away from the core, where the true white heat was at, and the flame seemed to be hotter then anything she has ever felt, or will ever feel. Even from the distance that she stood at. 10
But, the question that Gemini had asked, had Ginmay puzzeling for an awnser. She honestly didnt know how to awnser her waiting little sister, she had no clue where her 'friend' was at. She didnt even know if her sister's 'friend' was even a person, or a figmint of her imagination. Yet, she didnt want to break her young sister's imagination, and decided to play along. 11
"But, I cant see your friend Gemini." Ginmay said, a smirk curling onto her lips, hiding the small playful grin from her sisters perfect gaze. She took a quick glimps at her sister's eyes, seeing confusion in them, then quickly went back to looking out the window. "I cant see him cause, well, I dont have your gift hun!" She finished, saving herself from a whole mess of questions and awnsers. Silently, she let out a huge breath of air that she was holding in. Catching a glimps of her sister's relaxing face, and hearing that she too sighed in releif. 12
"OK SIS!!!" Gemini said, squeeling as loud as the cry of a newborn babe. She seemed to glance outside, into the snow falling air, searching for someone, or something. Ginmay stared at her face, seeing her mumble to herself words that she could not understand, yet the words that her sister mumbled became very clear in her head. 13
Her friend wasnt a girl, as Ginmay had predicted, and he didnt look to be her age either. His cheeks had more of a youth in them, and were a perfect circle, like the ones of a todler. They were splashed with the soft color of pink, it seemed as soft as a new born babe's first blanket. His eyes a golden brown, that was warm like freshly baked brownies on a summer afternoon, right after lunch. From what she could see, Ginmay say blotches of purple over his perfect face, wondering, if they came from a fight, or his parents. His hair had a cute shape, to almost disguise the blotches, covering his forhead, and gently brushing upon one of the bruises. It was a deep purple, darker then any of the bruises, and almost sinister. His cloathes were ragged, almost look like the old rags that had holes in them that they threw out after years of wear. He had no shoes, and they looked to be frost bite covered, but, he didnt flinch at it. When she looked back up at his face, the soft smile he had on it, had turned twistedly, into a demonic glare. Sending shivers down Ginmay's spine as she stared on and on, at his still beautifuly young face, not being able to look away. It was like, she was in a trance, in a tight grip, that only got tighter and tighter, sufacating her slowly to death. 14
Ginmay heard a soft cry, in the background of her thoughts, it was Gemini. And she pulled herself out of the boys gaze, breaking off his sufacating hold on her throat, and moved to her little sister. The vision of the demonic boy faded away, and was replaced by the inocent todler once again, and Ginmay had no clue what this boy was. But she could tell that he was up to no good, the only problem was, showing her little sister. Who had somehow placed her trust in this thing that was trying to kill her.
