Forgotten Tale Chap. 11

Vincent, Krysty and fairy kitty made their way back to the town.  When they arrived in the town, the town was in ruins and the smell of rotting corpse filled the night air. They walked around looking for by chance a survivor or two, having found not a single soul the walked to the town square.1

A man that looked to be in his mid 20’s dressed in a white cloak, white pants, a white shirt, with a grandfather sword sheathed at his waist, sat on the fountain.  “Welcome back Vincent.” Said the stranger in white, taking off his hood revealing his pale face soulless green eyes and his blonde hair.  “Took you long enough to get back. The villagers were fun till there was none left to save.” Said the stranger with a grin so twisted it went from ear to ear.  “How do you know my name?” Vincent said putting him self between Krysty and the man.  “I know more about you then you do of your self” said the man paying no attention to Vincent’s action.  “Who are you?” Vincent asked standing his ground.  2

“My name is salvation, remember it.” Said the stranger dressed in white.  Vincent looked around the square, blood was everywhere, bodies where piled, limbs littered the ground.  “You killed them, you killed them all.” Vincent said in disbelief.  “No, my dear boy, I saved their souls. They will be able to go to heaven now.” Said the man.  A voice in the back of Vincent’s head said. “Attack him, he killed all those people one more body wont matter.”  “Yes Vincent attack me, I want to see what u got.” Came Salvation’s voice in Vincent’s head. “Get out of my head.” Vincent thought.  Krysty looked at fairy kitty concerned, there was an unspoken agreement between them that something was wrong.  “Vincent is something wrong?”  Krysty asked unsurely.  Vincent said nothing still fighting the voices in his head.  “Silly girl don’t you know he wont answer you.” Salvation said out loud.  “What?” Krysty started. Vincent unleashed his fireball spell launching it right for Salvation’s heart.  “Is that the best you got?” Salvation asked sarcastically.  Salvation casted an ancient spell releasing a ball of negative energy, which engulfed Vincent’s puny fireball.  The negative energy didn’t stop, it kept going for Vincent, hitting him full force in the chest.  Vincent was launched backwards, only stopped because he hit a building behind him.  Krysty and Fairy kitty rushed over to Vincent. “Get up Vincent, Get up.” Krysty pleaded with Vincent’s lifeless body.  “He wont be up for a week at least.” Salvation said jumping into the air.  Angel wing sprouted from his back, he shouted.  “We will meet again” with that he took off.  3

Krysty picked up Vincent and carried him into a near by building, walking up a flight of stairs, down a hall and into a room.  “You’ll be fine” Krysty whispered to Vincent’s lifeless body as she set it on a bed.  “Excuse me?” Came a voice for the door. Krysty turned around and took a defensive stance.  “Who are you? And what do you want?” Krysty said eyeing the man carefully.  The man put his arms on his head to show he wasn’t going to attack.  “My name is BloodStar, and I came to see him.” BloodStar said nodding to Vincent’s lifeless body.  “Oh your BloodStar.” Krysty said backing down.  “Meow.” Fairy kitty piped up lying on Vincent’s chest.  “What happened?” BloodStar asked.  “I’m not sure, it happened so fast.” Krysty said looking down at Vincent’s lifeless body.  “Ah, I see.  And what’s with the cat?” BloodStar said looking at the cat. Fairy kitty eyed BloodStar suspiciously “Meow.” She piped.  “Oh, Fairy Kitty.  Vincent found her and she sorta followed us. She’s extremely intelligent as well.” Krysty said.  “Meow.” Fairy Kitty complied.  Krysty smiled and sat down started to pet Fairy Kitty.  “How did you this town any way?” Krysty asked.  “I was passing by when a crazed lunatic dressed in white was destroying the town so I helped get people out.” BloodStar said.  “Yeah he was waiting for Vincent.” Krysty’s voice trailed off and the room faded to black.  Vincent’s mind was still trying to figure out what happened.  4

“Where am I?”  Vincent asked.  “We are in the deep recesses of your mind.” The fair skinned, black-haired, green-eyed women stood before Vincent yet again.  “Mother?” Vincent asked.  “Yes Vincent, I know you have a lot of questions so lets begin.” Vincent’s Mother said.  “Who is Salvation? How does he know me? And what does he want with me?” Vincent blurted out all at once.  “Salvation is the Pope’s son of the corrupt Christian church.  He believes he’s the next messiah and that his purpose is to save the world.”  Vincent’s mother said calmly.  “How does he know me and what does he want with me?” Vincent blurted out again.  “How he knows you I can not say for I know not, but he feels threaten by your power, you are his only equal.  You must learn and unlock you powers quickly, or you will stand no chance against his corrupt mind.”  Vincent’s mother said embracing him. 5

“What am I supposed to do mother?” Vincent asked.  “Look for the book called Blood Sanctum.  It will answer your questions better than my self.” Vincent’s mother said.  “Where do I start looking for the book?” Vincent asked.  “Go to the east and seek the one called KeggSton, he knows the where abouts of the book. Locate it and read it.” Vincent’s mother said.  “Yes mother.” Vincent said looking up at her.  She kissed his fore head.  “I must leave you my son, go to the east there your quest begins.”  Vincent’s mother said as she got up and walked away into the blackness and disappeared.  Vincent woke up slowly blinking several times.  He felt a small weight on his chest; he reached up and touched it. Fairy kitty purred as Vincent stroked her sitting on his chest.  “Hey you, where’s Krysty?” Vincent asked Fairy Kitty.  “She’s getting some water for you.” BloodStar said stepping out of the shadows.  “BloodStar?” “Yeah, you thought you could dump me for some good looking chick?”  BloodStar asked.  “Well I tried, but you keep following me no matter how much I try to shake you off.” Vincent said amused.  Vincent sat up and put Fairy kitty in his lap. 6

“BloodStar who are you talking to?” Krysty asked as she walked into the room.  “‘Ello.” Vincent said with a grin.  “VINCENT!”  Krysty dropped the water and threw her arms around Vincent.  “ I was so worried about you.” Krysty said.  “Did you let this bum in?” Vincent asked kissing Krysty.  “I resent that.” BloodStar said.  “Yeah, I thought he didn’t have rabies so you were safe.” Krysty said kissing back.  “Hey, I’m-” BloodStar began to foam at the mouth. “-Perfectly fine.” BloodStar said.  They all laughed.  “Did you bite me again? My neck is a bit stiff.” Vincent asked rubbing his neck.  “Yeah, what are you going to do about it?” Krysty said kissing Vincent.  “Give you seconds.” Vincent replied.  “Maybe later.” Krysty said with a wink.  “’K, well how long was I out for?” Vincent asked.  “Ummm… Five days.” BloodStar said scratching his chin.  “Wow that’s a new record.” “That’s not funny, What if u didn’t wake up what was I suppose to do?” Krysty asked looking up at Vincent concerned.  “Meow” Fairy kitty agreed.  “I’m sorry Krysty I didn’t mean it that way.” Vincent said reassuring her. “It’s ok”7

Just then a loud noise came from the window.  “Vincent stay here, BloodStar come with me.” Krysty said going out the room.  “Yes Mame.”  BloodStar sulked out of the room.  “You can stop hiding now.” Vincent said.  Fairy kitty looked up at Vincent confused.  “Come on, I know this isn’t your only form.” Vincent said. Fairy kitty flew off his lap and landed next to the bed.  Just then a blinding light came from Fairy kitty; a second later an earthly looking girl of about 18 with cat ears, tail, cat whiskers and angel wings dressed in clothes she obviously made her self, a tube top made from three or four different materials, and a skirt made of seven or eight different materials stood before Vincent.  “How did you know?” The girl asked.  Vincent looked over the girl he thought see was very attractive, “I just did, I mean I saw you as a cat but I saw this form too.”  Vincent said with a smile. “I guess I can see the truth, now that will come in handy.” Vincent said opening his arms and hugging the girl.  8

“How long did you know?” The girl asked.  “Ummm… The last moments I was conscious, when I got hit by that thing-“ “ A negative energy sphere.” The girl interrupted.  “-Yea that and when I woke up I remembered.” Vincent finished.  “Oh” said the girl.  “Do you have a name?” Vincent asked sincerely.  “No, but I like Fairy Kitty a lot.” The girl said.  “Well then Fairy Kitty it is.” Vincent said with a smile.  “I’m guessing you’re a witch right?” Vincent asked.  “Yes is something wrong with that?” The girl asked.  “Nope its really good, you could help me unlock some of my magik.”  Vincent said.  “Vincent who are you talking to?”  BloodStar called from the first floor.  “Do you want them to know?” Vincent asked.  “Yes I think its time I told the truth.”  Fairy kitty said.  Krysty and BloodStar walked into the room.  “Who were you talking to?” Krysty asked.  “Fairy Kitty.”  Vincent said.  “What? Cat’s can’t talk.” BloodStar said.  “She can talk in her half human form.”  Vincent said.  “Hi” Fairy Kitty spoke up.  “Who are you?” Krysty and BloodStar said jumping.  “She’s Fairy Kitty and who I was talking to.” Vincent said with a smile.  Fairy Kitty frowned and flattened her ears, “I’m sorry deceiving you.”  Fairy kitty said.  “You should be sorry.”  BloodStar said yelling at Fairy Kitty.  “BLOODSTAR!!!” Vincent shot.  “She said she was sorry don’t make her feel bad.” Krysty said walking over to her and gave her a hug.  “Yes Fairy Kitty can stay.” Vincent said.  “Thanks Vincent.” Fairy kitty said.  Krysty smacked Fairy kitty’s butt sharply.  “Hey!” Fairy kitty said, smacking Krysty’s but back.  “What was that for?”  Fairy kitty said.  “Sorry fairy kitty, I thought u said spanks.” Krysty said.  “Call me Kitty for short.” Fairy kitty said.  “Sorry it’s a habit.” Krysty said rubbing her but.  “It’s ok I thought I did something wrong.” Kitty said.  “Well now what?” BloodStar said from the corner of the room.  “Yeah.” Krysty said sitting on Vincent’s lap.  “We go east.” Vincent said.  “Why?” Kitty asked sitting on the end of the bed.  “To look for the book called BloodSanctum.” Vincent said. 9

“Why?” BloodStar asked.  “To get answers to the questions my mother could not give me.”  Vincent said.  “Vincent your mother died when you were five how could you ask her questions?” BloodStar asked.  “Do you remember her last words?” “No.” “She said she would never leave me and she hasn’t but she has only come when I was unconscious.” Vincent said.  Krysty hugged Vincent, to Vincent’s surprise so did Kitty. “Me thinks its possible, was she a witch?” kitty asked.  “Yes.” Vincent said.  “Mayhaps she hasn’t died but still lingers on this earth.”  Kitty said.  “Well we will go east in the morning.” Krysty said kissing Vincent.  “You need your rest.”   With that said BloodStar, Kitty and Krysty left Vincent to sleep.  Through out the night Krysty and them checked in on Vincent.  The night passed and morning came.  “Vincent?” Kitty asked as she walked into the room.  “I’m on the roof with Krysty, come on up you’ll love the view.”  Vincent shouted.  Kitty flew out the window and on to the roof and sat next to Vincent.  “Wow that is nice.” Kitty said resting her head on Vincent’s shoulder.  BloodStar joined them a while after.  “Well let’s go the day is just began.”  Vincent said looking into the rising sun.10
