Will you?

Will you still want me when I lose my hair,1

Will you still love me when I'm not here,2

Will you stand by me through it all,3

Will you still catch me when I fall,4

Will you still kiss me after vomiting everywhere,5

Will you still hold me without a care,6

Will you be with me when I'm trembling,7

Or when I have trouble with remembering,8

I have cancer, which I cannot beat,9

I will miss your voice, your smile, your body heat,10

Please remember me when I'm gone,11

You are the music to my song.12

Author notes

I know this sucks but I really wanted to write a poem for my Aunt. She is going through breast cancer and she doesn't have much time left. I love her so much.

Cancer, something to look forward to.
'The future, now that's a dirty word.'
    My quotation.
You made me sad. Off now to hit my head against the wall.

  • this poem shows really strong emotions and is well written.
just enjoy the time she has left, don't waste a minute. i had a friend who died of cancer, and she was out doing as much as she could.
the poem doesn't suck, it's really good. keep positive, staay strong.

  • That was beyond amazing! Goose bump moment. I'm so sorry, I know how you feel. It's not easy but you just have to make all of the time that's left and hope for the best. Bring positive attitude around her but manage to be realistic.
