Dear Diary [Introduction ]

Dear Diary, So you know how in every class there is always a really annoying, arrogant, stuck up, show off, etc. class clown? Well the one in my class in named Joseph Jonas. He's always been the one who makes wise cracks and laugh when people trip on their faces. He pranks like there is no tomorrow and worst of all he won't leave me alone! 1

This all started four years ago when I started middle school. I walked in on the first day of sixth grade and there was already a goof who was making himself known as the class clown. He was walking around and pulling chairs out from under people right before they were going to sit down. I shook my head and walked over to a desk that was as far away from that freak as possible. He seemed to have sensed that I was not being tortured or something and he came over and sat right in the desk next to me. Oh just great I'd love to deal with this clown right now! I thought sarcastically to myself. "Hey I'-" before he could finish the teacher walk in and cleared her throat. 2

"Hello everyone! Welcome to sixth grade......" she went on with her boring speech about how middle school was going to be a great time of our lives, blah, blah and more blah. During the whole speech that kid would not stop poking me! I ignored him but after ten minutes of non-stop poking I had enough. I turned violently and whispered 3

"WHAT!!"4

And you know what he said? He said he was bored and needed something to do!! Not because he was dying, or because he wanted a tissue, or because he dropped his pencil, not even because he wanted to finish telling me his name! Yes, he was poking me because he was bored. I turned sharply and ignored him for the rest of the day. It turned out his name was Joseph Jonas. But to me he's king of annoying land and now even in tenth grade he is still as annoying as ever.5
