Message in a Bottle

Life is the same, again and again. I get up, go to work, get in, go to bed. I go shopping every Saturday; go to the beach every Sunday. 1

This morning, I went to the beach and found a bottle washed up. 2

Made my day, that did.6

Author notes

This is based on a friend of mine, who threw a bottle into the ocean with a note in it, and some guy in Holland found it and wrote back...Hehe, but he wrote something about pizza, I think, lol. They're now pen-friends. I thought it was a sweet story, so I'm sharing it with you all...

If there's one thing I've noticed about British folks, it's that they've got a pretty goofy sense of humor; not that I mind, 'cause it they didn't, Monty Python wouldn't have been as funny as they were/are. I thought this was funny, too; as an American, I doubt I'd end up doing something like it, but hey, one never knows in today's world...oy .

The humor! The irony! The flare! The style! The winner? (Probably, good luck with this!!)

I had hoped you would come back and play again. and once again I am not disappointed. You have taken a dreary existance and added a ray of sunshine. how many of us have dreamt of that bottle on the shore? Isn't it just another form of lottery?
Thank you so much for adding a note of style to this contest.
