To Lead A Life As A Raindrop

Mercilessly, carelessly, thoughtlessly falling. Not caring where they land, just blankly enjoying the fall. Rushing past the air, and soon falling to the ground—I wish I was like them. To look towards the sky and welcome the air that breezes by, not caring about where they will fall, or when the ground is close. They easily move in the wind, just going with the natural flow of things. They don’t need to worry about where they are, because they know they’ll hit the ground eventually. They spend their time without a care in the world, just mindlessly enjoying their existence. 1

I wish I could be like them, and stop worrying about the ground! I wish my mind would stop drifting so that I could just concentrate on what’s before me now, before it all slips away.2

The rain drops with elegance and carefree minds, with cold bodies, and soothing effects. The ones that fall pure, and reach the ground, not caring if they are tainted; unlike I who worries about where the ground is. Can I turn to the sky and admire the clouds, instead of staring at the dirt and counting the seconds? Can I turn up and let air skip through my fingers, instead of having it slap me in the face? Can I be one who gazes at the sun, instead of having it cook my back? 3

Can I live life as freely as those fluttering raindrops?4
