Racism Rant

You know, I can't stand it when people decide they are better than others based on skin color or religious belief. Great way to start a rant right? If you are offended by people's opinions that differ from your own i suggest leaving now. I am an Alaskan Native, and i know what its like to be stereotyped.1

So if you decided you still want to continue reading i have one important question to pose to you. What do you think about racism? I know, broad question with multiple answers, but that's why I asked it that way. Now i know, people are going to read this just to have something to bitch about, and guess what, I dont really care.2

There will be people who read this and say, :Hey! You're acting like a racist hypocrite." This is not the case, im stating my opinion, and my opinion is, if you're racist, you're a moron.3

There are so few truths in this world that if you see one, you know, and i believe this is a truth, race, religion, sexual preference, they dont matter. Every person on this planet we call home is exactly that, a person. Not something to be labeled, pariahed, or discriminated against.4

Discrimination only breeds hate and pain. There is nothing else that can come from it, it's that simple, which is of course, not simple at all. I'll admit, i came from a family that had racist tendencies, and i hated it. My mother used to say racist terms that i cant repeat in fear of angering too many people.5

Every time i hear my mother these days say anything racist I leave, just to get a point across. I know that everyone in the world can do things that are racist on some level or another, even if they do not know it, or think it is racist. Yes, i know that my rant may not make sense, but that's why its a rant, not a structured story. If someone has a problem with this then they can of course report it as is their own choice. 6

I am expressing my opinion about this topic, and if you think I am wrong, then please, reply to this and tell me why. I am just SICK of people in this world resorting to things that should be below every human being. If we are the 'dominant species' of the planet, then why do we degrade our own? Why should any race, religion, or person of sexual preference think they are above someone else? If you think this, you ARE being racist, it isnt a superiority thing, its a racist thing. Plain and simple.7

So ask yourself next time you think about making a stupid joke, or a snide comment regarding someone else, is it really worth degrading yourself so you can make fun of another person, for any reason? That's all i have to say on this subject, as i said earlier, this is an OPINION, not an iron clad thing. If you disagree, then good for you, just try to think about it next time you do or say something to a person of different life style than yours. Dont say it out of hate, or humor, honestly think about it, and then say what you want to say.
