Springtime in Ibaraki (Entry #1)

Tree explosion and flower coming into being.
Deciduous whisper, the lullaby of the sleepy forest.1

I find myself intoxicated
by the song of the skylark.
Kneeling in the wheat field,
I am his disciple.2

Hibari, only you can show me
how to embrace spring skies.
I long to lark about
the whole day through.3

Up into the Ibaraki mountains,
Hibari leads the way.
Look! A cheerful angel sings
and I am close behind.
