Children of the Moon - Chapter One

A thousand years later, a young white wolf opened her eyes for the first time. The family rejoiced, for their family now held the only female Child of the Moon to be born since the first ever created. Her brothers had only just opened their eyes the day before. This was also the largest litter of their kind ever born. She was named Trina, and her brothers were Shiva and Vimal.1

Trina did not progress like her brothers did. She was always behind in her development. And though she bore the Mark of the Moon - pure white eyes - she did not transform at her third full moon, as most pups did. Her brothers did, and they could not understand their sister's slowness.2

Eventually, on her sixth full moon, Trina took on her human shape. However, she did not bear the same protection her brothers did; her eyes remained white, while theirs were disguised gray. Her hair was also snow white, unlike her brothers' blond hair. They began to worry that she would stick out too much to be taken among humans.3

On their ninth full moon, they were taught how to pray to the Moon. Trina paid very close attention, trying her hardest to please the goddess who had cursed her so. But even after her prayer, she remained as conspicuous as before.

Author notes

Okay, so this needs a lot of work I think. Any suggestions?
