Insomniac, Just close your eyes. -One- A Vampire story

I had memorised every inch of my bland bubbled patterned ceiling. I was currently laying on my back, awake in my bed, in a frustrated un-content mood. Like that feeling you get on a hot summers day, you’re exhausted and feel you should really be sleeping. But you aren’t.1

When you are an insomniac, Time morphs together like one long, drawn out day. It did however, give me hours worth of extra time to do things. Hence why I usually managed to finish all my college work that I missed while half dosing off during class, read a large proportion of the college library books, and, didn’t get over due fee charges.2

I enjoyed to learn. I liked the satisfying feeling you get when you realise you can actually hold a conversation on a particular topic, without getting to a point of complete clueless ness.3

That doesn’t mean I’m intelligent however, I just know in depth on small topics. And endless amounts of pointless facts. Give me anything related to politics and the government though and that was a no go, I was lacking in that section of knowledge.4

The only times I gave much attention was when watching them gurgling in court and throwing their arms about. Mainly when I had nothing else to amuse myself with.5

I was observing my room for the millionth time. It room was small, but homely. The long night and weekend hour shifts at "Hungry Horse" I did a while back gave enough money for all those decorative little “nick naks” I had grown an attachment to.6

I like to collect things no matter how small, insignificant and tattered, its like collecting a memory, a flash of where I was at that moment. But the problematic part of that is, where to store these items in my small budget shared house. I liked orderly clutter, not just sheer mess.7

Dangling Indian style elephants hung from places, Numerous pieces of paper had been blue tacked to my wall and unfinished canvas paintings were stacked.8

I glanced over to the clock which glowed 23.00 at me and frowned, It felt like it should be far later than eleven pm.9

Sudden end, I’m not particularly satisfied with it, But I was impatient to get something posted onto the new account.10

Please rate or message, even better if both, Like a house warming for a new account.11

Later gater!

    An interesting start

I used to go through long periods of insomnia and this is certainly how it felt: endless time for thoughts to wander. I like how the little details slowly show the reader who the character is and what goes on in their life.
