La` Poona-tic's Filing Trunk (Story)

Tease's eyes puff out as she gasps in disbelief, pointing to the Poon Tree "Hey look!. La` Poona-tic's come down from her tree."? She and her friends Choler and Fine headed to the Poon tree to see what La` Poona-tic is up to. 1

Once there Choler asks "La Poona-tic what are you doing?" "Making a filing trunk in the truck of my tree. " La` Poona-tic happily replies. "Why?" Asks Fine with a curious frown. "So I'll have a place to stash all my favorite jokes" La` Poona-tic says with a smile as she continued to explain to her friends "I've got one drawer done and two more drawers to go."2

"You got anything in the drawr that's done? Choler reluctantly inquires. "Yeah!" Says La` Poona-tic. "Well for heaven sakes lets see them." Fine excitingly blurts out.  As Choler reaches out her left arm grabbing the draw handle with her hand and pulling the drawer open to look inside. "You only got two jokes in this draw!" "Two" Says Fine disappointed "Well what jokes are they?" Choler reads the titles "Stanley the Sperm and Why did the dumb blonde drown." 3

La` Poona-tic looks to the ground sadly and bravely says "Yeah, so I'll find more jokes to put in there someday." Choler seeing the embarrassment on La` Poona-tic's face suggest to her "Maybe you should fill the first drawer, before you make a second drawer." "Yeah, But I want three drawers full of jokes!" La` Poona-tic cries out. As Chitter Chatter approaches the Poon Tree to see for herself what all the ruckus is about, her ears catching what La` Poona-tic had said. "Hey La` Poona-tic, You want a riddle?" she cunningly asked. "Sure Chitter Chatter!" La` Poona-tic said as her eyes came from looking at the ground to Chitter Chatter who now stood before her.4

"Okay" Chitter Chatter said as she recited her riddle with a sly and wily tone "I hide away from the laughter, behind eyes and under the hills where I can't be seen, heard or felt by voices that flap about like wary vultures." Pausing for a second. "Where am I ?" She asked as she ended the riddle.5

Fine, confused and feeling insulted by the tone of her voice could not help but interrupt. "Why do I feel from the tone of her voice that she has just called us all vultures?" Chitter Chatter ignored Fine, still looking at La` Poona-tic "What's the answer La` Poona-tic?" as she demanded to know, informing La` Poona-tic  "You have to answer the riddle or you can't keep it!"6

La` Poona-tic grudgingly replies. Her eyes now back to looking at the ground. "Well, since the sun always seems to disappear when ever you are around. I'd have to say you are hiding in darkness."  Chitter Chatter grins as she says "The Riddle is yours." La` Poona-tic looks up with a smile, happy that at least she got the answer right, as she mustered up just enough kindness to say.  "Thank you Chitter Chatter" As Chitter Chatter snaps back "Yeah, Now you can make your three drawers. One for stupid jokes by dumb-ass's, one for dumb jokes by stupid-ass's and one for smart-ass riddles courtesy of me." As she starts to walk off laughing.7

Tease grabs Chitter Chatter by the arm and says "Chitter Chatter I didn't know you could riddle." "I can't" Chitter Chatter informed Tease "K` gave me that riddle."  Fine snapped back at Chitter Chatter "K` doesn't riddle, and when did you last talk to her, I haven't seen her in awhile?" Snarling back Chitter Chatter says "Well, she riddles now, and I last saw her a week ago."8

Fine looks to the others muttering " I guess she sure told us and rather uniquely too."   La` Poona-tic now upset that her project has turned into a fiasco says to Fine "I didn't think that riddle was funny. Trying to cheer Fine up La` Poona-tic remembers something that was funny and begins to remind Fine "Funny was last night, when Forrest came to the door and said "I'm feeling like a Beatnik today" I had all I could do to keep from busting out laughing." 9

Choler jumps in and says "Yeah, that was funny, but I thought it was even funnier when he was talking about how the Beatniks protesting during the Vietnam war all had goat-t's and you said "Our Beatnik doesn't have a goat-t." As they all laughed Choler questioned " I wonder if he figured out that, that's one of our alter's name?  "Yeah" Fine said annoyingly "He is always asking us who are you today, ever since Chitter Chatter told him she has split personalities."10

Laughing "Yeah, that was way funnier than this riddle." La` Poona-tic says "I'm sorry you didn't like the riddle" Chitter Chatter says to La` Poona-tic. "I like the riddle Chitter Chatter."  La` Poona-tic says "It just wasn't funny." "Well, I'm not a funny person. " Chitter Chatter points out to them. 11

La` Poona-tic daring to disagree with Chitter Chatter stating "You were funny, that day you told Forrest about us and when he thought he was being funny by asking "Can I have your soul?" and you said to him, don't mess with me, I got allies on my side that will kick your butt. I thought that was funny." 12

"I wasn't trying to be funny."  Chitter Chatter angrily snaps backs "I was being serious." Trying to calm Chitter Chatter down Tease says "It might not have been a funny riddle, but it was a good riddle." 13

Choler totally fed up with the whole mess says to La` Poona-tic "Put the riddle in your drawer, maybe it will be funny to us a century from now." 14
