Greg's p.o.v1
After I finished setting up the temperature sensors Skye's voice broke the silence 'We’ve got a ghost. Young woman, Eastern European’ she informed through my cellphone. I felt a sudden chill down my spine. ‘Hold on. Sensors beeping. Temperature’s dropping down, call you back later.’ I ended the call and glanced around the library 'Damn it. I should've brought a jacket' I muttered then I swiveled my head just in time to see a candle stand in the air and smashed against the wall. When I turned my head to the arched windows, my eyebrow raised. 2
'Skye. We have more than one. I’ll meet you back at the library later’ On the windows was a thousand bloody handprints overlapping each other staining the windows. 3
5 minutes later I was wandering in some dark room of the castle and I rested my arms on the top of the black piano finding nothing unusal. Suddenly a knife appeared out of nowhere spinning then three knifes joined in. ‘I want to help you’ I spoke calmly before the knives stopped and lay still. I spotted a spill of blood and my eyes widened when I saw ghosts of women but their heads were skulls and they were floating closer…4
'There's something going on, isn't it Professor Rider?’ I spoke, my eyes serious as pushed the doors, entering the library. He nodded 'What did you see?' I thought back 'Ghosts, females with floating skulls as heads.' Just when Professor Rider opened his mouth, I groaned when we heard a loud voice with a hungarian accent. This is seriously getting out of hand, how many times must he interrupt?5

'So everything is in place' Trumble spoke as he lingered at the doors of the library 'So do you think we might catch something tonight?' After I sat down working on the computer, listening to the clatter of keys. I replied 'Probably. They're ghosts all over this place' Greg was unusally quiet tonight and I spotted a scowl on his face reflecting on the screen, he looked pretty cute with it plastered on his face... strange. 8
Hoping to lighten up his mood my nose skimmed his throat, jaw until I closed the distance between our lips. The tip of Greg's tongue lightly traced the curve of lower lip requesting to enter so I let him. He kissed me softly and I let out a small whine. He softly chuckled after he pressed his lips against mine. 'You're getting greedy tonight' I mused 'I was actually aiming to cheer you up. Looks like it works. I should cheer you up more often, hmm...' he chuckled again 'You've noticed?' I nodded. He looked sideways 'I'm disgusted and annoyed with Trumble. He keeps interrupting important things' he scoffed 'This is seriously getting out of hand' he complained 'I need someone to cheer me up now' I grinned and just when he was about to kiss me again a voice interuppted us as we parted. Guess who? 9
'Amazing, ghosts' he spoke. Trumble. Should've known. I felt irritation flare in me but I managed not to loose my cool. I cursed him under my breath. 'See what I mean?' Greg whispered amused with a hint of irritation in his voice. I nodded.10
Sydeny leaned foward to his screen ‘Ghosts are floating, hallways, rooms’ he informed. I nod ‘Same here. Got a reading’ I didn't expect to feel anything but I did ‘Ah!’ I winced in pain as I took of the headphones after hearing an earsplitting scream. Greg rubbed the tops of my arms concerned then stopped. ‘They’re everywhere’ he informed. My eyes widened. Ghosts were floating everywhere in the screens.11
‘What the hell’ Greg said as Sydney and Greg looked over at my screen. ‘Where they go?’ The ghosts just disappeared when we turned our heads back to the screen. I looked up ‘One of the rooms which doesn't have security cameras and they were heading to the same direction which is...' I tried to recall the hallways and rooms and suddenly it hit me. 'Here’ Ghosts went through the walls, approaching us. More and more came and I won't bother telling you how much since I lost count. They just when through us sending us chills but they surrounded dad. He was lifted into air, the ghosts with terrified expressions reaching their arms out but the ghosts faded away just when he spoke a jumble of words.12
Chapter 313
You know when somebody close to you such as your father who falls down to the ground you would ask if he was ok, comfort them, right? Well the first comforting thing I said was:14
'What the hell is that?’ as I pointed at a drawn circle around him and words within not English. He kneeled down and translated pointing to each word ‘Sorceress, Warlock, Beware. Next are the two names of the two witches who trained Erzabeth’ It was the exact time when Trumble came stumbling in as if he wasn't afraid of the ghosts. ‘Ah! The Hungarian blood vampire priestess! She thought bathing in the blood of young woman would keep her young and beautiful’ he explained to us with recognition. We blinked Well at least Greg and I did, an awakard silence filled the room. We didn't expect Trumble to have knowledge of a supposed mythical creature that dad had destroyed. We thought he was just in for the money. My eyes narrowed, unless...15
Trumble looked around the room and realized that it was awkward. 'I've reaserched her' After a brief pause we responded lamely 'oh'16
‘She’s going to be the central image. Sexy vampire, spooky legend. It’s perfect to attract visitors!’ He went on. Dad narrowed his eyes ‘It’s fact’ dad corrected him. ‘Those spirits were her victims. While she lived, Erzabeth tortured and murdered over 630 young women’ Trumble coughed nervously, fiddling with the end of his jacket 'Well...everything doesn't have to be in the brochure'17
Greg stepped forward with his arm around my waist. ‘You destroyed her years ago, Professor Rider. Someone is trying to bring her back?’ he stated. Dad nodded. ‘But’ I countered ‘if there’s no body, they would need something connected to her and it would have to orignal not artifical’ I really hoped we could avoid anymore supernatural because seriously I need a vacation. Greg glared at Trumble, his eyes glowing dangerously emerald. Trumble laughed nervously and just when he was about to lead us to a room I stopped. 'Backtrack. Who's the sorceress and the warlock? We haven't seen even on of them yet. I can't sense any...magic in the air' Dad took a deep breath 18
'The spirits believe that you are the sorceress and that Greg is the warlock. It's what they called back in that time. They know about what both of you can do.' I nod.19
The room that Trumble led us to was full of torture equipment, the killer coffin, shackles, you name it. We looked around. Sydney stopped to gaze at a golden sheild and the woman with 3 heads, 6 arms and snakes at the sides carved on it. Trumble ambled over and announced ‘Hecate, Greek goddess and queen of the witches’ Dad spoke with experience 'As a vampire, Erzabeth was a high priestess to Hecate. We may be dealing with something larger' he faced Trumble 'They’re things in this world that modern man think that they are fairytales, myth but they are real' I laughed nervously making Greg's arm around my waist tighten. 'Luckily they're artificial, fake. Gifts' He shook his head ‘Nu uh. These weren’t cheap, they’re all originals. Had them shipped from the ruins of Erzabeth’s castle’ I gasped slightly20
While Greg's face was in my hair, comforting me I heard a gasp to my right. It was from my dad. He saw Erzabeth lurking in the shadows behind the pillar and jumped slightly when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Trumble assured him ‘Don’t worry. It’s just a wax figure of Erzabeth’ the old man lifted her and put on the ground. I untangled Greg's arm around me when he was absorbed in a painting of the castle. I took a few steps foward to the wax figure, mesmerized by her beauty ‘She’s very beautiful. I mean was very beautiful’ I admitted with a hint of envy in my voice. Greg kissed me lightly on the lips ‘Not as beautiful as you’ I smiled. ‘And she knew it.’ Dad went on ‘Instead of losing her beauty, she lost her soul to Hecate’ The old man looked at dad with recognition and walked away pushing the trolley. I wonder what's going on between them.
