Confusion

Sam woke up knowing that he had to do something.1

For the last few weeks, a presence had been lurking at the back of his mind. The presence wasn't benign or malevolent, it was just there.2

And Sam was sick of it.3

He decided to go to the doctor to find out why he felt like this, so he grabbed his bike and started to ride to the doctor's office. About halfway there, on a rural street, he was hit by a car.4

Alex woke up knowing that he had to do something.5

For the last few weeks, a presence had been... Alex felt a sudden wave of deja vu, as if he had previously thought about this. He shook it off and proceeded to get ready for the day.6

He brushed his teeth, ate breakfast, all the things necessary in the morning, then he went outside, deciding that today was the day he would talk to his doctor.7

The first thing Alex noticed when he went outside was how badly his bike was damaged.8

He thought to himself, "Odd, I don't remember doing anything that would do that." He ended up putting it down to being vandals.9

Alex decided to try to get a ride with one of his neighbors. They were perfectly glad to give him one to go see the doctor.10

On their way to the clinic, they accidentally ran into a boy on a bicycle. He looked an awful lot like Alex...11

Sam woke up in a hospital bed. He had a visitor.12

"Hey, what happened?"13

"We were in the car that hit you, don't worry, the doctors say you'll be fine."14

Sam laid his head back down as the doctor walked into the room. The doctor started asking Sam questions about what had happened, and with Alex's help, they were able to piece it all together.15

By the end of the day, Sam was allowed to leave. On his way out, he asked the doctor to thank Alex for staying with him all day.16

"But you didn't have any visitors."17

Alex woke up.18

He reflected on all the strange things that had happened the other day. He was in a car that ran into someone who looked exactly like him. His bike had been broken for no reason. No one in the hospital acted like he existed.19

All in all, one of the weirdest days he had ever had.20

Alex checked his clock and saw that it was still only six am, and decided to go back to sleep.21

Sam woke up exactly as he had fallen asleep, in the fetal position at the foot of his bed.22

He wondered what was going on, why no one else saw Alex, why he kept passing out at strange intervals, but most of all, why that presence in his head was growing stronger.23

He stayed there, in the dark, waiting for sleep to come for him once again...24

Alex woke up. For some reason, he was in the fetal position at the foot of his bed. Alex never really questioned how he woke up, he figured he was a sleepwalker.25

Alex went outside and introduced himself to people in the neighborhood, who kept calling him Sam for some reason. He was thoroughly confused.26

A few days later, Sam's parents came home. They found him still curled up in the fetal position, mumbling to himself, sometimes laughing softly.27

Sam was gone. There was only Alex.

Whoa, this is so wierd, but awesome!!! This split personality threw me off for a minute, but I did like it. It is pretty unique. I applaud you on your presentation, it was demanding on my attention.

Now, that's a very interesting story about split personalities. You have a good idea there. Still, the story itself sound pretty ragged to me, so maybe you should work a little on connecting the 'deeds' a little better.
