Last night

The clock read 2:22, Daemon turned over, her face damp with stale tears. Her thoughts went around and around in her head. 'At least no one would miss me now' She thought, fresh tears rolling down her pale drawn face, her eyes glistening grey in the moonlight. She Sat up in bed. Her mother was asleep she knew because the landing light was off. She has decided, it was now or never. She quickly got up and put on her black Chinese dressing gown with a dragon on the back and put her phone into the pocket. As quietly as she could opened her bedroom door. 1

She padded along the landing and slowly down the stairs, she hastily wiped away the tears from her eyes so she could she where she was going. She opened the door to the kitchen and the bells on the back of the door made a loud 'Clang', 'Shit' she whispered and she closed the door as softly as she could without making the noise again.2

She tip-toed over to the drinks cupboard and got down the vodka and the jack Daniel's and placed them on the table. She then turned towards the medicine basket and got out the new packet of paracetamol. 3

She pressed all the pills out of the plastic packet and made a pile at the table then sat down. She downed each pill in a shot of vodka and then when the bottle of vodka was finished she started the Jack Daniels. She the walked across the divide into her living room and sat down on her favourite sofa. She lounged there for a few minutes before She got her phone out and sent one last txt to Shainaz. 'Goodbye, I'm sorry, I love you and this isn't the last goodbye. x x x'4

She started to feel light headed and dizzy. Waves of nausea made her glad she was lying on the sofa. Her phone went off, shocked she picked it up and saw who the txt was from. 'R u freaking crazy? Don't you dare!'. She gulped down the tears and sent back, 'I'm sorry... I didn't think you cared.'. 5

Slowly darkness consumed her, as she became unconscious the worst moments of her life were re-lived. The moments that had made her make this decision. She knew she only had minutes left.6

Her spirit rose from her body. It was now lifeless and still, the last breaths of air held in her lungs. Her spirit drifted of and sat opposite her body and waited. Waited for the whole of eternity.7
