School Days

Maria looked down at her shoes, listening to her school Principal rant, knowing she'll hear it worse from her therapist. Meanwhile, the new kid, Jeremy scanned all the people in the halls. He walked in front of the Principal's office as the door opened. Maria stepped out and before they both knew it, they hit each other.1

"Watch it!" Maria yelled looking at the wimpy, sixteen year old blond standing in front of her.2

"I-I'm sorry!" He stuttered looking over the tall black haired girl before him.3

"Don't mind her." Kleo said from behind Jeremy, taking him by surprise. Kleo's brown hair fell in her face as she smirked at Maria. Two years before Kleo's freshman year of high school, she had cut off almost all her air, depressed. By freshman year, her hair only grew to her chin.4

"Shut it!" Maria yelled at Kleo. Jeremy stood there, looking back and forth at the two. Maria and Kleo exchanged glares before Maria exploded, stomping off. Kleo grinned, gloating.5

"Will... she like attack me?" Jeremy asked looking at the short Kleo. Kleo looked at him like he was a freak.6

"Attack? You? I'd be more concerned about her gang." She said walking away, leaving Jeremy in that spot, eyes wide. 7

"Wait! Are you being serious?" He asked running up to her.8

"Yeah." she answered simply. He stopped dead in his tracks, mid-step. He heard people walk past him and then the loud sound of knuckles cracking.
