The Party (Part 3)

I couldn't wait until two o clock rolled around. That's when I realized something: Josh went out with his friends, and knowing him, wouldn't be back until exactly two. That's when Shawn was coming to get me to take me to a movie.
"Ugh this is going to be a long day," I muttered under my breath, heading for my closet. "What am I going to wear?" I said to myself out loud, shuffling through my bundles of clothing. I immediately saw the perfect shirt: my black halter top. I smiled devillishly, knowing fully well that this would piss Josh off alot. And I knew that Shawn would love it.
All of a sudden, I heard another loud knocking on my door. This time however, I knew it wasn't my mother. I gulped, feeling my body start to shake.
"Please don't let it be my father," I whispered under my breath, heading for the door. I opened it and came face to face with none other than Shawn. I gaped at him.
"Hey Jesse," he said casually, brushing past me and into my room.
"H-Hi," I stammered, still shocked by his entrance. He smiled at me, his thumbs crooked into the pockets of his Levi's.
"No offense Jess but you look like hell," he chuckled, his arms encircling my waist as he held me to him. I melded to him.
"Yeah I know." I said. "My stupid brother came in and started yelling at me about last night. How did you get in here?" I asked him quickly, my eyes darting around my room nervously. Shawn laughed, bringing one of his hands up to cup my chin.
"Your mom let me in." he told me with a noncommittal shrug of his shoulders. I gasped and pulled away.
"What did you tell her?" I replied warily. Shawn rolled his eyes and smiled widely at me.
"I just told her I was your friend, who'd come to pick you up early. She just smiled and told me I could come up here," he whispered, bringing me close, our lips just a breath apart. I closed the distance between us both, kissing him with all my might.

"Someone's eager," Shawn whispered on my lips, his arms entwined around my lower back. I giggled.
"Why don't we cancel our little movie date and have some real fun?" I suggested flirtatiously, my fingertips tracing a line down his cheek. I could feel him go still with surprise. He pulled back to look at me, his eyes unsure for the first time.
"Later," he whispered sweetly. I frowned.
"What do you mean?" I said hurtfully. Shawn sighed and pushed my hair back from my face.
"I want to be able to spend the night with you my love." He whispered into my ear. I shivered, but then smiled. I knew what he meant, but then again, I also knew that I'd be gone all night...again.
"But how Shawn? I can't stay out all night again," I whimpered. Shawn smiled.
"Who said anything about staying out all night? I'll drop you off at nine, and then drive my car to somewhere behind your house, sneak in your window, and have our night," he responded. I gave myself a mental head slap. Duh. Even I should have figured that out. Shawn smiled when he saw the lightbulb come on in my head.

"I'm going to go take my shower and get ready. Then we can head out okay?" I said kindly. I saw his green-blue eyes soften for a minute.
"I'll be waiting right here for you love," Shawn told me, sitting down on my bed. I laughed and went to gather my clothes, then headed into the bathroom to "freshen up". The hot waves of the shower water couldn't even calm my restless heart, given it was beating wildly. I took a deep breath and sighed, feeling a release of all the pent up anger I had from my brother. 'Screw him', I thought to myself. 'I'm going to have fun today, and he's not going to stop that.' I said to myself. After twenty minutes, I stepped out of the steam filled shower in nothing but a towel. I got dressed, and emerged from the bathroom, going to put on my make-up. Shawn looked up when I came into my room. I crossed the room to him, gave him a light kiss on the lips, and went to do my make-up. 3

As I was about to put my eye liner on, I felt arms grasp me from behind. I laughed when he pressed a gentle kiss to the side of my neck.
"I think you're looking too pretty to be all alone," he murmured, trailing soft kisses down my neck and to my collarbone. I felt myself begin to melt.
"I have to get ready," I told him quietly, feeling my mind begin to travel to other things. Things that involved Shawn and me.... That's when he pulled away. I felt my face slide into a pout and he laughed.
"Relax my love. Just concentrate on getting ready," he replied. I did, and managed to do a good job on the rest of my make-up. I grabbed my purse and headed for the door, with Shawn following close behind me.
"Let's go!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand. He smiled and together we ran out of the house and to his Black Ferrari. I stopped.
"BYE MOM!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.
"Bye sweetie!" she shouted back. 5

As I got into the car, I knew today was going to be the best I'd had in a while. Shawn started the car and began to drive one handed. I suddenly felt a warm hand clasp mine. I looked over at him and smiled, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. He squeezed back.6

"I'm glad you're my girlfriend Jesse you know that?" he admitted sheepishly. I grinned warmly at him.7

"I know Shawn, I know," I responded happily. We were silent after that until we got to the movie theater. I gulped when he told me what movie we were going to go to. Shawn laughed.8

"What you don't like Friday the 13th?" he teased. I punched him on the shoulder.9

"No I don't, but I'll watch it with you," I smiled, wrapping my arm around his waist. He grinned.10

"You can hide into me if you get scared," he assurred me.11

"Okay that sounds good," I winked as we headed for the ticket booth.12

As we were about to get tickets, I saw from my peripheral vision, none other than my brother and his friends. I tugged on Shawn's shoulder. He turned to me.13

"What is it Jesse?" he asked me in a concerned voice. I merely pointed over to where Josh was, completely unaware of my presence. Shawn's eyes narrowed. 14

"Relax hun, I'll take care of this," he told me, about to walk over to him. I pulled him back.15

"NO! Do you know what Josh will do if he sees you, much less, both of us together?" I told him in a panicked voice. "Just....get the tickets for the movie and let's go," I told him quietly. Shawn nodded and went for the tickets. We brushed past my brother without him even noticing me, which eased my nervousness a lot. 16

We got out popcorn and soda and headed into theater number five where our movie was playing. Shawn led me to two seats down in the middle. I sat down beside him, waiting for the movie to start. All of a sudden, none other than my brother Josh and his friends came in, and sat down three rows in front of us. I looked like a deer caught in headlights, and Shawn froze.18

"If you want Jesse we can just go back to your house," he murmured in my ear, his arm draped around me. I shook my head.19

"No. Let's just enjoy the movie," I grinned. Shawn smiled back. I felt myself scream on more than one occasion, and found myself hiding in shawn's shirt for practically the entire movie.20

Both of us ran out of the theater and to his car to avoid a Josh confrontation. We managed to get to his Ferrari without being seen, and then Shawn drove me home.22
